Former finance exec turned hippie (not really). What would make me a great partner? I guess one of my best attributes is to be flexible. I have given up my black/white perception of the world. I am physically active, managing a small "estate" for some very nice people. I hunt and fish and do many things outside. I am relatively compassionate, quite empathetic and completely monogamous.

Snow melt means mudding and frozen ruts. Thumps in the dark as icy snow clumps meet gravity. Gravity Bumps. GLUMPS ! Got my snow tires yesterday in time to go to the Cape. Ha. Now I need mud tires. Sticky better than icy. I predict snow by Christmas.
I'm watching shooting stars from the hot tub, not so good for cell phones. Ever hear of a retractable pergola I like to cook healthy but much more fun with a friend. I just moved here. Downsizing and leaving baggage behind is new to me. I must say it was great to have that big generator going while watching the stream rise.
I enjoy gardening and get a lot of exercise in the forest clearing and hiking. Swim whenever I can. I'm looking for a hotel just for the pool', Anyone > ? Due to schedules I spend Fri. and Sat. dining with my Mom. When possible. She's a cutie in more ways than one.

Currently I am my 86yr old mother's care-giver after her" light" stroke and we live together most of the time blissly. She is very easy-going but I need my time to recharge.

I easy to get along with as long as you like bigger dogs. I have 1 dog over 100 lbs, but he is a big baby. I have many interests.....and am willing to try new to a point. Still have some old fashion values. I was brought up to treat people the way I want to be treated. I am a hard worker and am very loyal to the one I am with. I am Partially handicapped with lower back problems, but not letting it stop me...I just go a little slower...LOL I'm also a cancer survivor.

I'm smart, well-educated, solvent, and emotionally mature/ responsible/undramatic/evolved. I like the complex things in life. I look my age. (I know most of you don't; so many profiles mention it.) Though bright and energetic, I am also capable of lying around sluggishly if I think the dishes will get washed by elves. (It's never worked yet, but it's never really NOT worked, either, not definitively.) I go to the gym regularly.

I am a writer and have one completed novel (undergoing revisions by the same elves who don't wash dishes) and two more that are in progress in a stalled-out kind of way. I read a lot, mostly novels for inspiration, but I’m also very interested in the history of textiles and fashion, miscellaneous history and biography, and prehistoric art and archaeology.

In March of 2013 I visited my daughter, who lives in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It was my second opportunity to stand overlooking the Great Rift Valley (the other was 10 years ago in Tanzania), where humanity got its start. I found this profoundly moving.
