Things I hate but do anyway: rotate tires, balance checkbook. My motto: carpe diem (or make hay while the sun shines).

I like to be outside to enjoy the fresh air, especially sunsets. I also love to be around the lake. I am a people watcher. I make a great partner because i am not selfish. Treat me like a Queen and you will defiantly be treated as a king. I love great conversations & watching a good movie. I love spending time with my 11 month old grandson. I love flea markets, garage sales & and of course getting a great bargain.

I am the oldest of nine children and I grew up in Vermont. Family is very important to me. Friends come and go, but my family has always been there for me. My brothers and sisters ARE my best friends.
From Vermont I lived in NH, NJ, NYC, NH, CA, NH, VT, VA, PA, VT, VA and now bac to VT. I lived in Alexandria, Virginia and like to return there to visit my friends. I haven't lived here in Vermont for very long and need a partner in crime to learn and experience life here .(and other places!) My child is grown (in the Navy) and I am ready to live life to the fullest. I want to go places, meet new people, and have new experiences . In other words I am ready to truly enjoy life!

New England born & bred, I returned to VT 6 yrs. ago from living in FL 15 yrs. to open a unique shop with my daughter in Burlington. It's a hit! - & now that it's off the ground I'm easing up to make some wiggle room for other things important to me. Since I yearn for a LTR with a good man who might come to think that I'M pretty hot stuff, I'm taking this route to meet fellows who also seek "a partner & a pal". I am hard-working, tolerant, intuitive, practical, loving, honest, warm, & sometimes funny. I enjoy working out, dining out or cooking in, VPR, reading, my g.daughter, our beautiful shop, pets, walking, volunteering, playing cards, and friends & family. Travel is so fun for me - a weekend on the coast of Maine or a train trip across Canada - those are what my daydreams are made of. I have no great assets but also no liabilities to bring to any relationship. I care for my health, my car, my personal appearance & my spiritual development as all are important. I'd love to share some of my favorite things to do with an appreciative man, but would also love to participate in his interests as well. My passion in life right now is nuturing the wonderful relationships I have, and doing things that nuture me. Be it, intellectual, spiritual, or physical. I am open, giving, caring, a good listener and try to keep a sense of humor about myself and the twists and turns of life.
I like to stay active and involved in issues that concern my profession, and my environment, and would travel for volunteer opportunities to assist where needed.
I look for unique opportunities in my life, and would prefer to not follow the pack. I would prefer to visit the National Parks rather than the great cities but if there is time in my life to do it all I would. A vacation fantasy would be hiking rim to rim at the Grand Canyon (at the pace of a 60 yr old), or cross country skiing in Yellowstone, followed by a hot beverage next to the Lodge fireplace. Cruising down the coast highway, (east or west - doesn't matter), top down (the car's top, that is), or having spontaneous adventures in Vermont. I find my calm in staying engaged and active.
I work full time in Health Care, love it and plan to continue doing it as long as I can. I have long weekends and plenty of vacation time.

I love being outdoors in every season. I love hiking, biking and gardening. Most people say I am very laid back and independent. I am kind and I respect everyone; in return, I want to be respected too. Summer in Vermont is awesome and I am ready for the warm sunshine! I've spent a lot of time on and around the ocean (Hawaii), and Lake Champlain is pretty impressive!
I'm into yoga. I taught yoga for a couple of years and hope to teach yoga again sometime. For now, I work enough so I go to yoga classes. Im always learning something new.

I have an AMAZING job with an AMAZING company in Burlington. I have many friends where I work, but outside of work, I really don't know anyone because I only moved to the area less than 3 years ago.

My passions: Being physically fit, laughing (SO important), hanging with good friends, dogs (the most amazing creatures on Earth!), great food (especially when cooking with someone), great wine, great beer, watching and playing sports, the ocean (where I am at my most absolute peaceful and happy state of being), spending time outdoors (hiking, golfing, fishing, jogging, kayaking, romantic walks, picnics or campfires).

What I'm looking for...I'm looking to find that special someone who I can begin to get to know better at first and then see where things go. Initial chemistry, of course, is important. I want to connect with a woman who is physically fit, also loves to laugh, enjoys the company of friends, but also those quiet, romantic times spent together as just us.
