I didn't realize until recently how much I was missing out on by not having that special person in my life. I have had a very active social life, I've enjoyed dating and I have a great network of friends. But as I sit alone on a Saturday afternoon with so much I can do and have a great time - I wish I had someone special to do them with.
I turn 50 later this year and started reviewing my goals. I'm a big goal proponant and believe you can't get to where you want to go without a roadmap. This year I have some really challenging fitness goals that I will meet before my birthday and a lofty travel goal. I would love to spend my birthday in Africa on a photo safari. I imagine a beautiful tent camp with white netting and doing walking safari's during the day and relaxing by the camp fire at night. But here is what I am missing - you....or that special person. As you all know, being a man, I'm from Mars. I was born in a little crator known as Martianville, located just south of Venusville. While attending Martianville High School, I fell in love with a very sweet girl from Venusville with skin so soft, named Milky Way. She had a beautiful little kitten she called Kit Kat. Kit Kat loved to snuggle with my tanned but goofy dog I named Pluto. After a 28 year relationship with Milky Way, she got starry eyed for a college professor named Galaxy Quest. Please, no Snickers, I was deeply hurt. After suffering a broken heart, I started to hang out at the local Mars Bar mourning the loss of my little Milky Way. After some time passed, I recovered from my loss and opened my first business called The $100, 000 Bar. Later I sold it and bought 2 choppers, 1 to ride the "Highway to Hell"((guess that's why "They Call Me the Breeze" on "This Lost Highway") and 1 set for my missing teeth due to a motorcycle accident. I'm a sweet treat that WILL go to your hips upon time and mutual agreement ;-)... Don't be offended now..I am a Scorpio!!! I am retired after 27 years from my own business and now living in Chesapeake, VA. I moved here in Sept. and have enjoyed exploring the area-- every face is a possible new friend. I love interior design, decorating with what you have, antiquing, bargain hunting, reading, movies, art festivals, sightseeing, and camping at the Holiday Inn closest to the off ramp or RV-ing/camping. I enjoy good company and a great cup of coffee at the kitchen table about as much as one could. I quite enjoy southern cooking, grilling, and the "mommy manners" found only in the South. I hope to test out my "sea legs"--- and if I require dramamine. The waters here are unbelievable!

My faith is strong and I want to experience spiritual aspects with my partner. I am conservative politically, I am independent economically, and I am (probably) opinionated socially. (No need to read between the lines there.) I enjoy "sharing" vs being dogmatic, except in my core-value areas. Some things are easier as black and white. That way I don't have to wonder what I've told to whom!
