I grew up as a dairy farmer. I learned through my up-bringing to appreciate the little things you encounter in life. The little gestures you can do for someone or have done to you usually mean the most to you.

Life full of experiences...with a lot more to come! Love sports, particularly golf. I am an extraordinarily positive person, and a high quality human being. I expect the same of anybody who wants to get to know me. I've experienced the worst, and am more than ready to experience the best. You will like who you see!

Active beach guy doing just about anything around the water. I enjoy the outdoors which maybe surfing, boating, walking the boardwalk, bike riding, dancing, motorcycle trips, movies, fishing. I enjoy spending time around the home doing projects, cooking out on the grille or relaxing. I am clearly focused on my future moving into my next chapter with someone whom I can build a friendship first. I leave my baggage at the door as there are no drama issues in my present situation.

I enjoy exercise, sports, performing arts, hiking, astronomy, playing cards, biking and walking, and yoga. I am educated, articulate, intelligent, honest and like to travel. My exercise is at the Great Neck Recreational Center with the weight machines, free weights and treadmill. Today "sports" for me means watching a good college basketball game or an NFL football game. I enjoy riding my bike, mostly in the summer and hike year around with a Meetup group. I hike well enough that I climbed Kilimanjaro eight years ago. Yoga helps keep me centered both physically and spiritually. It also keeps some of my flexibility in my aging body that I tend to neglect in my weight training.

I am very easy going, demanding of myself but very tolerant of others. I know where I stand, but feel little need to overstate my opinions, as one obviously learns more from listening than talking. While I am intensely loyal and very serious about my relationships with family, friends and business associates, I don’t take myself too seriously. I enjoy good jokes especially if they are about my gender, my vocation, or me, because if you aren’t laughing at life, you’re not getting it.

At home, I have almost completed a major renovation, interior, exterior and landscaping. I enjoy cooking and like to entertain with family and friends. I have been taking art classes with various levels of success. A big passion is woodworking. Going out I enjoy fine dining to slumming, drinks with friends, the arts, especially enjoyed my youngest daughter’s high school theater group and her dance company productions, shopping, (yes, I said shopping, as in raising two daughters, it comes with the territory), and some travel, although somewhat limited to date due to single parenting and business commitments. I am very flexible and adventurous in making pplans and wandering from the agenda, as some of my greatest experiences have been serendipitous.

I love music, walks in the parks, traveling. I enjoy the company of that special woman. I'm looking for that perfect fit.
