I'm a New York City transplant via the midwest. I moved out to Seattle fulfilling a long held desire to live near the water and the mountains. I love to stand out on my deck and watch the ferries pass and the sun set.

i am a fairly active lady who loves sailing, and anything having to do with the water. when I turned 60, I let my hair turn grey, and weight about 15 pounds more than my pictures show....just truth in advertising.
i have lots of other interests as well, so if sailing isn't your thing, thats fine! i believe in volunteering my time now that i am retired, and currently have 2 volunteer "jobs".

i have gone skeet shooting which i loved ( but the skeet have nothing to fear from me!). i try to face my fears head on, and guns were a big fear for me, so now that i have conquered that fear, I dont need to shoot any more.

I love being outside, and also inside, cuddling on the couch and watching a movie. I am easy to please, low maintenance, and easy to get along with. Treat me well, and I will spoil you to the hilt! I think its indicative of women of a "certain age" that we spoil our men.
i love laughter, and smile a lot. im fun and funny, sassy , somber, have a sensitive side, and am clearly an extrovert. discussing books, having friends for dinner, board games...it is all good, i think.

I enjoy a variety of interests and activities. My passion is travel. I recently retired from a long-time job in the travel industry and have a long list of places yet to see. I enjoy movies, live theatre (have season tickets to a local theatre), mystery novels and most music (not classical). Although I consider Seattle home, I recently bought a vacation home in the Phoenix area and try to get down there at least once a month. Now that I see the sun more often, I'm taking up golf again; I am definitely a fair weather golfer. I found in retirement that I enjoy remodeling and decorating my homes; it satisfies the inner creativity.

I am an independent person who loves my alone times as well as spending time with other people. I'm an avid reader and facilitate an over 50's classic book group. I was trained as an English/Art teacher and now volunteer some of my time working on starting an art docent program at my granddaughters' school. I also love to spend time with my family and like-minded people who enjoy interesting conversations about reading, politics and the arts. I also love movies like Woody Allen, Classics, Documentaries and Slapstick Comedy!
I love all animals and especially dogs. I have a wonderful Basset Hound with a great personality and a stubborn streak.

My passions include the outdoors, flyfishing, music, reading, family.

I really don't know what to say in this short narrative of my life. I am just here, lived long enough to know what I don't want in my life..and hoping to find a partner that will share the last and best part of our lives together. The best is yet to come!

I'm an energetic, hard working and love to set and complete goals. I'm a wonderful friend, and show up when my family and friends are in need of a smile, kind word, or elbow grease. I teach sixth grade and am passionate about my job. I love kids in the middle years. They are hilarious and fragile, and I love spending my time with them, even when they’re getting on my last nerve.

I like to cook, especially if I can put in garlic, tomatoes, and onions. If some garlic is good, more is better. Recipes? What are those? I also sew and do other fiber arts, garden, and play Question of the Day to amuse myself and learn new things. I enjoy movies, but I don’t like “action” films full of violence. My tastes run toward things like The Princess Bride, Monster’s Inc., and Sarah’s Key. I listen to KUOW, but I haven’t watched television for 10 years and don’t own a TV. I have been attending live theater for years.I’d like to see the Ring cycle again. I would probably explode (implode?) if I didn’t read every day.

My family is very important to me, but I have been single for over 10 years and would like to meet a man who is interested in a relationship. I like being around people of all kinds and ages. My main interests are reading, going to junk stores, movies, restaurants and short trips. Although I am a fairly serious person, I enjoy fun as well.

Though certainly not perfect, I am a committed follower of Christ. I am very active and love to be outdoors biking, kayaking, hiking... Urban activities (museums, plays, etc.) are great as well, or just being quiet and staying home from time to time. My Jack Russell, Augi, is my faithful companion.

Still employed but looking forward to retiring in 4 years or less. I haven't dated since I lost my other half in '03. Mainly because I don't have the courage or the need to so far. I can be on the quiet side so I love to read. I am shy at parties unless I know someone.I also can talk too much when I'm enthused about something. I love the outdoors; especially boating, hiking, camping, skiing, scuba diving (it has been a while and I had to ditch my equipment for lack of use after diving in warm waters). My 62 year old bod complains a little at all what I love to do. 'love to travel but don't esp. like doing it by myself . On the lazy side when it comes to good books and relaxing. I tend to be impulsive and don't plan well always. Although I would like to have things pristine and neat I am too laid back for complete order. I am open to new things and changes in these possible faults to someone who may be a neat freak. Although I consider myself agnostic from a scientific point of view I love visiting churches, cathedrals and museums with 15th century religious works and the music and spirituality than goes along with exploring this subject. I am financially secure I don't pay for the on-line dating so can only wink at you guys.

I am all about having fun. I'm also very responsible, but I love to laugh. Good friends are extremely important, as I have friends that I see on a regular basis, back to childhood. Family is also a big part of my life, however I temper it with living my own life. I love to travel, read, go to movies & plays, cruise, go out to dinner and cook at home, drink a glass of wine by the fire, take walks on the beach, and play with my dog. Life is good -- but it could be even better with a partner -- to travel with, to catch up with at the end of a busy day, to share a glass of wine with while recounting a funny experience, a stressful event, a big win (or not). I had that with my deceased husband and now I'd like to have it again.

I'm fit, fun, a fulltime professional for the time being. Travel, good health, are passions -- as is my job and the stresses and joys that it presents on a daily basis. I love the arts, particularly theater, symphony, dance (even opera) and can't imagine a life that is not enhanced by a great performance, a lyrical voice (wish it was mine)or a fun, live Broadway musical.

I love the outdoors I walk Greenlake twice around several times week and some times a day. I am not that great of a hiker and swimmer. but I am will to work at it. Just getting into wine, maybe you could help me with that.
