I have a loving family and great friends. I'm forturnate to be in a career that involves direct contact and comunication with a diverse community of people, with career paths that support families and other social groups. My goals and dreams are always developing and many of them have been accomplished. So, now I can spend more time with new friendships and maybe a romantic relationship with someone with similar interest and values.

I am a good and caring person looking for someone to have some fun with or maybe retire with. I love to ski and hang at the beach, so not quite ready to give up the cold North for the sunnier southern climate. I still take photos the old fashioned way-with film. I do like to eat and can do pretty well in the kitchen. Three things about me-I am leggy, an achiever and a believer. I am happy to report that I have gotten through a 2nd total knee replacement and hope to be back to "normal" by the end of May, just in time to enjoy all the fun things we have to do in Madison.

I'm a bleeding heart liberal. Is there more to know? I am spiritual, compassionate and generous to a fault. My life is full and busy with a variety of interests. Continuous learning and volunteer activities occupy free time along with grandchildren and friends. I enjoy cooking, British comedy, PBS, motorcycles, road trips and fiddle and violin music. I abhor violence and fools. I enjoy critical thinkers and Scrabble.

I am a person who finds the simple things in life by there nature to be the easiest things to share together as friends, uncomplicated enough to allow two people the freedom to enjoy each others company and when explored the begining of what might be a longer journey. Happy, healthy, energetic and fun to be around, I am also very thoughtful, romantic, and affectionate. I retired 4 1/2 years ago and am temporarily residing in Wisconsin. I moved here last September after living in China 4 years. Prior to that I lived in Alaska where I still retain a home. A relocation to Oregon is probable next summer. Though filled with great memories, this amount of moving has had its moments and my daughter wants to stay put for her upcoming HS years.

I have a wide range of interests (traveling, cooking, gardening, hiking, biking, sailing, kayaking, fishing, reading, music, movies, arts, science, history, building (my house in AK), exploring, volunteering, other cultures) and like to keep up with what is happening in the world.

I remember thinking in my early teens I did not want to look back on my life and lament things I had not done, learned or experienced. My life so far is a testament to that. I expect my future years to be more of the same.

I do like a balanced approach to life. Traveling is great, but I also like to stay at home, raise a garden, have a daily routine, pets, read, drink tea, continue learning Chinese, or just sit and be.

I like to learn, help others, stay current. I like living this life and plan to be around well into my 100’s.

I am a lot of fun. I'm open to new adventures. I am approachable, friendly and love to laugh and smile. Smiling in your eyes and voice exudes positive energy. I am easy going and can go with the flow. I am honest and you will always know where you stand. I am respectful to my partner and don't feel guessing games should be part of any relationship.

I enjoy many things like boating, swimming, biking, hiking, (even mowing the yard)! I like going to movies, demolition derbys, stock car races, etc. If I had any horses, I'd be riding them too! I also enjoy live dinner- theatre, sewing, cooking, reading, etc. I am a little on the quiet side, friendly, honest, and wanting to enjoy doing things with a special man, while we have the time. Life is too short.
I am not looking to jump into a relationship though. I believe it is best to be friends first and see if anything more serious develops from that. It sure would be nice to share life with that special person.
