There MUST be music in my life, any kind of music really, although I strongly favor the acoustics, harmonies and sensibilities of folk. I like theater and indie movies. I like learning about different cultures; the people, the traditions, the music, the foods. I like nature; camping, hiking. In the past I have had beautiful and bountiful gardens. I love to cook, especially with other people. I have designed and been involved in building a home I was extremely proud of and plan on being involved with my "never tell me I can't do it" daughter as she builds her home.

My children and my grandchildren are my greatest sources of pride and joy. I want them to have the security of knowing that there is someone who loves them unconditionally, believes in them, respects their autonomy, and has their backs.

I like challenging assumptions. I like nuisance. I like things that make me think. I like people who make me laugh. I like to have fun. I have a strong romantic inclination and love to give and receive affection.

If you drive a SUV, shop at Walmart or frequent restaurants like Red Lobster or Olive Garden it probably wouldn't work out. There is no point wasting each other's time.

I'm a hiker, kayaking, camper, and gardener. I love the outdoors.
But I also love live theatre, folk music, and card playing (euchre, and trying, as an adult, to learn Sheepshead!).
I live simply, try not to consume too much, or burn too much gasoline. I belong to a CSA, and try to eat mainly organic, locally-grown, and seasonal food. I have a lot of good friends. I'm not a TV watcher. Left-leaning, politically.
I can be funny, with people I'm comfortable with. I much prefer casual dress (jeans!).

I am very visual, creative, in another life I might be a Decorator or a Landscaper.
I am trusting, compassionate, kind, soft hearted, playful, witty, love teasing when both people do it gently.
I love to bring home flowers. Make the coffee in the morning.
I am active, but enjoy down time also reading or HGTV, Sports.
I must have time / we, for my daughters family's.

I'm very loyal and honest/faithful. My family is small hense they are very important; especially those grandkids. I love going "up north" once in awhile, would rather have a few close friends over than a big party, play cards (pretty good at euchre) and enjoy the same things most of us do.

Love animals, like fishing, and most outdoor activites.

I grew up in the country near a small town in southern Wisconsin. I have lived in Madison, WI. since 1968. I worked at the UW. until about 1998.

I am an excellent listener, friend and confidant. I believe that there are few coincidences. I am loyal. not a game player. I do not drink or smoke. I enjoy reading, movies, music, quiet times exercise, cooking and enjoying life. You have to like to hold hands and cuddle as well!

I am a local theatre denizen: I write, act and direct. I read voraciously and am a movie freak - especially the off-beat and cult-like films. I also like to go for (fairly) long walks when it is not too hot! I'm a good listener and enjoy personal anecdotes.

I'm a casual laid back kind of guy, I'm even tempered and don't let little things bother me, yet assertive enough to express a point of view. I tend to see the best in people and treat them with the respect and kindness they deserve. I'm easy to talk to and I can respect, relate, and converse with the Harley biker or the CEO with ease. I love kids! I have no grandchildren; maybe I can adopt yours if your lucky enough to have them. I am a sensitive individual and am able to express my feelings, thoughts and emotions with ease.

I like to travel and will go at the drop of a hat, but no one travels 365 days a year and after a trip it's always great to get home. When home there is nothing better than getting together with family and friends for a BBQ in the back yard on a nice day or going out for dinner and a couple of drinks and great conversation. You can't go out every night either so a great evening at home would be curled up on the sofa with someone I really care about with a bowl of popcorn and a good movie. It can just be cooking, shopping, or the simple things in life. It's all great if you have someone you love to share the activity with.

I am healthy and active and love being outside. Love long walks, flea markets, Yard work, stocking up on firewood, biking, canoeing, and big bon fires.
Not aggressive of possessive, only respectful and considerate. I've been called an eternal optimist. Extremely creative and mostly right brained.
An accomplished entrepreneur and creator with demonstrated success. I'm happy when I'm in the middle of a project, or traveling to some far off place. I wish to share these times with a woman of similar interest.
I have many years of manufacturing management experience, I'm certified as CPIM, with a strong engineering background, and patent experience. Wishing this country could find a way to bring manufacturing back here. I believe it's the key to a healthy economy!
I am one hour north of Madison, just outside of Oxford, which is about 15 minutes north of Portage. I work 2 jobs and stay busy so please be patient. Will plan on retiring in 3 years.

I awake happy to attack each day yet could be happier with a special woman beside me... I am laid back but straight forward and honest, flawed/human, determined, emotionally available without being weak, and I am very loving and affectionate... I am spiritually and morally strong without being some zealous nut case... and a good (twisted) sense of humor is quite important to me... HEY!!! once again there are new photos (I KNOW!!!) and you can get a peek at em ~ some show the results of my first haircut in nearly 5 years! and they ALL show that I am better physical shape than since I was waaay younger than I am now... all in my recently updated profile (07/12) ok I never thought I had to add this but after looking at things written in profiles I reckon I should... All you need to know is I that have absolutely no (that's zero, none, nada) interest in being involved with more than one woman... ever! I don't even understand why anyone would... so there!

My late wife trained me well. I still put down the toilet seat, take out the trash in a timely manner and dust and vacuuum but not in that order. I'm running out of money and birthdays so I work part time and joined a health club. Was married for 45 years. As we all say I'm a pretty nice guy and not bad looking--look younger of cource. My wife never had a drivers licience so I took and picked her up for everything. And only complained once--thats all it took. The sad thing is when she died she took all her female friends with her. I miss the friendship, touch, smell and companionship of women. Anything you want to know about me just ask.

I play as hard as I work. I've spent lots of time sailing the Great Lakes and Caribbean, (most fun flying out over the water on the wire of a catamaran on local lakes). I learned to snow board in the French Alps, and love to bike, hike, Rollerblade, exercise at the gym and take vigorous walks (also holding hands on slower walks).

I love all the arts. Music, movies, theater, opera, concerts (Springsteen concerts "in the pit") are an integral part of my being. I love to dance all night. I am a zealous fan of football and horse competition (Three Day Eventing) and all animals (my canary warbles as though auditioning for The Met).

I'm an avid reader and thoroughly enjoy the company of my two grown and extraordinary daughters (who live far away).

I can promise quality adventures, as well as an attentive ear, compassion, understanding, a keen wit, intelligent conversation and a big heart.

Retirement is great and it would be enriched even more sharing it with someone special. I consider myself fairly attractive, younger looking than my actual years and just a kid at heart. Spontaneous, quick witted, spunky, passionate, optimistic and playful is how I have been described by friends. Spending time with family, perusing antique shops, flea markets, auctions and rummage sales is on my list of activities. Watching the Packers, Badgers and NASCAR races is a high priority. Theater, concerts, musicals and comedy clubs are a pleasure to attend with a friend or that special someone. I enjoy listening to NPR radio, traveling, dancing and shopping. Reading, listening to soft music by candlelight and enjoying a glass of wine are relaxing quiet time activities.

I'm new to this. I was married for 39 years, to my childhood sweetheart. I have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. I have 5 sisters and 1 brother. And lots of cousins. I'm very passionate about life and love. I'm honest and expect the same from the people in my life. I don't think I'm very complicated. I love classic rock, and soft rock .

I find it hard to talk about myself but I guess everyone experiences this. One on one is easier.
Being a Virgo with a birthdate 1935 makes me 77, corrected age. Everyone tells me that I look younger. Life has taught me courage, strength and great faith due to my near death experience as a result of a car accident at the age of 34. It gave me much determination to care for myself in order to raise my five children as a single parent. My story of healing is quite long and inspiring to many of my friends, I am told

I like all sports. Favorite baseball team is the Red Soxs. I like hanging out with my family and friends.
