Around three years ago I moved back to Wisconsin from California. Originally, I grew up in southern Wisconsin. Anything that has to do with the outdoors, I'm interested in. This includes but is not limited to; hiking, camping, swimming and my favorite, bike riding. I enjoy travelling, experiencing different cultures and their food, language and music. There are many places I still wish to explore. I've been in a couple of long-term relationships (no kids), but have been single for awhile now. I'd like to meet a woman who shares some mutual interests/values, establish a friendship and see where it might take us. I try to exercise on a regular basis. I enjoy a good sense of humor. I do not have any children of my own. I do have three great step-children, and six fantastic grandchildren! My family is also large with four siblings. Two Brothers and two Sisters. With that added to my fine family we are a total of 34 without boyfriends or girlfriends. It makes holidays chaotic. But we Love doing them.

I have worked in San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Diego, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Dallas, Washington DC, Chicago, Madison, and lots of other places as well. I've spent most of my working life in large cities, and REALLY miss the energy there.

My background is accounting, but I left full-time work in that field in 2002. I've been doing real estate brokerage now for about 10 years, although I cut back on it very significantly because of another job. I enjoy that job so much real estate took a back seat, but I'll be doing more real estate work in 2013.

I was part of a couple for over 25 years, but that ended when my partner died in December of 2007. I'm doing just fine, thank you, but miss the "relationship" thing, and I'm getting really tired of always doing everything alone.

My schedule is somewhat flexible, and most of my daytime hours are free. but I'm spending a lot of my free time remodeling my townhouse, and prefer you visit me in Madison, rather than me going anywhere .....unless it's Chicago, Milwaukee, or any other "real" city.

I enjoy many things like boating, swimming, biking, hiking, (even mowing the yard)! I like going to movies, demolition derbys, stock car races, etc. If I had any horses, I'd be riding them too! I also enjoy live dinner- theatre, sewing, cooking, reading, etc. I am a little on the quiet side, friendly, honest, and wanting to enjoy doing things with a special man, while we have the time. Life is too short.
I am not looking to jump into a relationship though. I believe it is best to be friends first and see if anything more serious develops from that. It sure would be nice to share life with that special person.

I'm searching for passions at the moment. Retired recently and have spent much time reading and helping friends where I can. I'm willing to try new things as long as they are not life threatening. Much work to do around the home. Weightlifting twice a week which satisfies both a physical goal and social goal.
