I have a passion for the underdog, the road less traveled, doing the right thing even when it hurts, being courteous even when it's not the 'in' thing to do, am much less concerned about accumulating 'stuff', consider honor, respect and trust to be the building blocks for love. Macho in men has no appeal, excessive concern with looks, sleaziness, shallowness are turnoffs with men or women. Have developed a preference to good hugs from women, than anything more showy or explicit..Can easily converse in a wide variety of topics, and feel I am a good listener when the topic has some substance. I dress casually to a fault, not a clothes horse. Prefer cool to moderate weather to warmer. Initial encounters would involve meeting for coffee and good, inspired conversation. I have some lower extremity physical issues. I can walk but prefer to minimize it, In finishing, I'll say that I would prefer relationships with my age bracket that have the potential for a future. Big hugs, snuggling while talking, watching TV or listening to music - I could go on, I'm not lonely - but I am.

I am a published author working on a sequel and am looking for somebody to take along on the journey. That somebody will hopefully be the highlight of my twilight.

My friends consider me a very sincere incividual. I like most outdoor activities, biking, camping, fishing, racing and working on the yard (weird I know) just to name a few. I enjoy the creativity of woodworking and have received many compliments. Walking my English Setter gave me opportunities to meet and talk to a variety of people and just enjoy the weather and exercise, but I have recently lost my best friend of 14 years (Gracie) and this has left a huge vacuum in my life. This will take some time to fill the void I have been left with.

I am a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, specialized in transportation and other logistics, and spent fifteen years in Germany. My wife died two years ago after suffering Picks Disease, a form of dementia.

I love to golf, work on my cabin up North, spend time with the grandchildren, do stained glass and run a small home business.

Some day I want to grow up.

For fun I like to fly a kite, work on my garden railroad, the greenhouse and my garden. the railroad is still some what a figment of my imagination but I hope it is up and running 7/9/2011. The greenhouse is fair size for a back yard:it is 18x35, with three 12 ft. Norfolk pines and a hot tub. The garden is also rather large at about 12, 000 sq.ft.
I like to cook, and am pretty good at if I if do say so, have done most of it for the last 30 years or so, run a restanrant for a while, managed a church kitchen for 6 or 7 years. I have a cat which is living in the greenhouse at the moment because a 5 year old St. Bernard joined the family abount 2 months ago.
As crazy as it sounds I would like to drive to Alaska and in fairbankks on June 21 of some year.
My vision of a perfect date would to have dinner an then talk for hours.
I am looking for long term relationship. Who knows what it might lead to marriage.
Oh by the way I own a company that makes bones for dead people. It really is not as gross as it may sound. If that doe not raise your interest nothing will.

I am retired from Milwaukee Public Schools where I worked for the Research dept. Currently I am going back to school where I take courses in mathematics and computer science. I hope to use this knowledge to learn how to invest some of my retirement money. Although having money is no supper important to me I find financial and economic data interesting to analyze and would like to get a part time job as consultant doing research on this kind of data.

I have a son, whom I am extremely proud of. He graduated from college and is now a teacher.

Money has never been a driving force in my life. Id say that I have enough to live comfortably and if your into the rich and famous you may want to bypass me. Love my weekends which are spent on the golf course in summer and in my music studio in the winter. Probably wont retire any time soon. Id most likely work until I was physically or mentally incapable or until they kick me out the door.

I spend a lot of time reading lately. Just can't seem to learn enough. I realized how little I really knew. Like to bike and hike. Getting back to the shape I was in when in my 30s. Not easy but getting there. Bowling, tennis, table tennis, basketball, touch football, and volleyball. Are a few of the sports I partipate in. Love watching the packers! I love to kiss so you must love that too.
