I'm a raging egomaniac. Nah, that's not true, either. How do you just say that you're a nice, successful guy looking to share his life with his future soul mate? I guess that would do it. I'm the proud dad of a five-year-old boy, and my wife and I have been amicably divorced for about two years now. I'm past the breakup and excited to meet some good people on here.Friendship is not at all out of the question. It's welcomed. My job/business isn't glamorous -- I am a computer Engineer -- but it is lucrative, and I love the challenge of being a computer Engineer.I'm not married to my work, and even when I was actually married, I found time for tae kwon do (yes, nice guys can kick), classic movies (you MUST see Sunset Boulevard and The Philadelphia Story if you haven't yet) and the occasional fishing excursion (nothing like a little time alone to recharge your batteries). Things are different now, but I look forward to taking some chances and seeing who's out there.

I just returned from alaska, and will update the pictures soon. i've battled cancer over the past year, and won. but, the radiation and chemo has claimed my beard. my 35 and 37 year old daughters have not seen me clean shaven until yesterday. lol. i'm still recovering, but am going to make it. supposedly, i'm 100% cancer free. we'll see.

i love to kid around and joke. i very much enjoy my kids and especially my grandkids. i've been blessed with two great daughters with two wonderful son-in-laws and 6 grandkids. while not rich, i get along o.k. i travel plenty and spend may to september in alaska, whale watching from my front porch. i love to fish, hunt, travel, listen to the oldies and conservative talk radio, have a few beers before dinner( and only a few), watch fox news and the military channel, and enjoy life. dinner and a movie is always a fine evening out. i do like to joke around. i generally spend a month in arizona about february just to thaw out some. i'm also open to go where you like. i can be very active doing whatever you like to do, or i can sit and relax over a movie. i guess i'm just pretty easy going.

I don't believe I am on this site looking for the woman of my dreams. I have a good job and put my heart and soul into it sometimes more than I should. I am thinking I need to put my life on cruise and find me a good woman to share my life with. I am 57 but young at heart and have been told that I have aged well. I am old school country at heart but seem to get along with most everyone. I can go to a rodeo one day and ride my bike thru the hills the next. I like to jump in my truck and grab some beer and just go drive the country roads looking at the scenery the wild life old barns cars trucks and not give a if I end up in Montana or South Dakota. I've never been married although I've been engaged twice. I'm pretty active plus goal oriented. I prefer women who enjoy romance and sharing dreams together. I want to share fun times together whether in blue jeans enjoying various out door activities or dressing up and going to formal occasions. Then just going to a coffee shop can be fun as well. I really have enjoyed traveling with a companion in the past. It is a big world out there with so much to see and do!

I tend to be a little bit introverted but when asked I have no trouble expressing my opinion but I am seldom the one to bring up a controversial subject.
I lean quite a bit towards the geeky side in that my hobbies are amateur astronomy and theoretical physics, while my work life is dedicated mostly to the technical side of things.
On the other side I have ridden motorcycles since about 1962, loved traveling with my family when they were younger, spent a lot of time hunting and camping in the Big Horns, and love attending my grandchildren's events.
On my artistic side I have sculpted two items one in plaster and one in bronze and as of late have been doing a little bit of drawing but nothing serious.
