A little about me...
Recently retired, currently sporting a full beard, at least for the time being so the pictures are not 100% accurate, extremely loyal to my friends, capable of "one liner" type of humor that frequently is on the risque side. Willing to laugh at myself, still searching for a way to drop a lot of weight, loves his sons and grandchildren. Let's face it, this dating thing for people in their 50's or 60's is somewhat intimidating since we haven't done this for a long time. I believe that the process is best done by first finding a person(s) that you can enjoy being with and will make a good friend. What grows from there is whatever grows from that. I am not desparate to enter into a relationship (I've lived alone for the last 10 years) but at this stage of my life I've decided to see if that "certain someone" is "out there".

About the one I'm looking for...
attractive,independent, sense of humor, assertive without being overly agreesive about it, no children/grandchildren living at home, a non-smoker, somebody whose eyes smile when the mouth does. I'd like to meet somebody who is able to speak openly about what she wants in all aspects of her life.

I'd just like to add...
I have to admit that I haven't had the best of luck with online dating. I have found, in the past, that online meeting/dating doesn't always lend itself to honesty. I have now been a member of this Seniors group and have some observations that need to be brought into the open. I'm not impressed by those clever little notes that are available to send if you want to get to know me better. So, please write a message that is in your own words. Those who view my profile and don't have a picture will not be responded to. C'mon now, if I was able to figure out how to add a picture I'm sure that you can too. I strive to keep everything that I put in here to be accurate even if it doesn't paint a great picture of myself. I definitely need to lose a significant amount of weight and will do so. I can't use 50+ hour work weeks as an excuse anymore. I'm reasonably sure that I'm not really interested in significant travel since I haven't done so for the last 25 years. Almost all of my travel was business related save for an annual vacation or two. One thing that I definitely am not interested in is a partner who is NEEDING somebody to "take care of her" regardless of whether it's a casual or serious relationship.
