I follow politics, and my views are liberal. I'm a fan of Franklin D Roosevelt.
My interest in local and family history has lead me to be interested in WWII and little ole' RI's part in it.
I'm a native Rhode Islander with all the baggage that goes with that. Yes I pack a sandwich for a trip to Providence. (well I might be kidding about that, but at least a coffee). But really, I can't imagine living anywhere else.
I love the beach, just sitting, walking or kayaking. Or watching the surf from the rocks at Beavertail or Narragansett.
My Kindle is my constant companion, whether I'm reading or listening to audio books.

About the one I'm looking for...
Looking for someone who likes a walk on the beach, good books, old movies, and good conversation. A kayak for summer and a pair of ice skates for winter is a plus - but we can rent that stuff.
I'm looking for a companion, someone to talk to and to listen to, someone who enjoys getting together with friends and family or just quiet time together.

My ideas of a good weekend afternoon are: in summer, a picnic on the beach; in winter, Sunday dinner and a good movie or maybe a trip to the skating rink in Newport or at URI.
