About the one I'm looking for...
I would really like to find someone who can be my best friend... who can talk and even argue without either of us worrying that the relationship would crumble over such differences. I am very patient and forgiving, but have had enough lies in my life to have little tolerance left for those who cannot face the truth, whatever it may be.

I'd just like to add...
I am interested in life... news junkie who keeps up with politics and world events, liberal by most standards, and agnostic or atheist by some standards. I am not looking for 'dating' or big romance... I want something more subtle and harder to come by... A bond that is built on trust and respect and the ability to laugh... laugh a lot!. Security is in there and is a biggie, but not in the obsessive/possessive way, but in the comfort found in trust and understanding and support of love that is grounded in the core of who we are together.
I know much of this sounds very sappy, and I am really not a sappy kind of person, but it is hard to describe.
I am much like a cat...strong enough to survive on my own, but responds well to genuine affection and kindness. I have become a bit skittish and shy from years on my own, but could be a good companion for the right person. I have hoped and dreamed and even at my age, I still have the flicker of hope that it is not too late for me to find my one true love to share my life with.
