A little about me...
I believe myself to be an open minded and accepting person who is looking for a life partner interested in sharing life's experiences. Equally sharing both the pleasurable and those that are challenging. I am working hard on becoming more fully grounded, present, and able to set aside ego stuff and be in the here and now. I think I'm a pretty stable guy--meaningful career, good friends, happy grown kids... I am fairly aware of my own deficits and am trying hard to address them and continue growing. People say I've got a good sense of humor--In my old age I have given myself permission to be silly and playful!
About the one I'm looking for...
If I distill down the elemental qualities which I think would be important for a meaningful relationship it would be these:
An appreciation of nature and willingness to experience it directly through hiking or walking.
A willingness to participate in three different homesteads. House in Tucson, cabin in the mountains, RV in Mexico.
An interest in learning. Really a life-long learning perspective.
Some kind of a spiritual foundation. In my case, I am a student of Buddhism, which is very inclusive and respectful towards other spiritual perspectives.
Finally, the need for a partner to be reasonably stable mentally and emotionally.
I'd just like to add...
I would add that I appreciate travel and experiencing different cultures,beliefs, and perspectives. Thinking about it, there really aren't many places I would be unwilling to go with the right partner. The venue matters not as much as being with someone who can be fully present in the moment and who is interested in openly sharing their observations, feelings and thoughts. I appreciate the importance of family and enjoy meeting new people who are genuine and authentic.
