A little about me...
I have lived alone, except for my dogs, since a divorce in 2006. Most of the time I am OK with the aloneness, but there are times I really miss a true deep relationship with a female friend. I do not want to be together with anyone day in and day out, as I think people do better when they take responsibility for their own happiness/sadness, success/failure, but I think having a true friend can enrich life immensely.
I have a dry sense of humor which is sometimes mistaken as cynicism, but I love to laugh, and feel free under the blue skies and the night time starry skies.
I would add that for a deep relationship to develop, the partner would have to love animals as much as I do, because animal welfare has been a true passion for me for many years.
While I have not traveled as much recently as in the past I do love travelling short trips too the beach or mountains or longer trips across country and even to other countries.

About the one I'm looking for...
Some special emotionally mature female comfortable with intimacy and who loves animals. Absolutely no cigarette smoking, drinking alcohol in moderation is fine and even encouraged. I value love, compassion and integrity in myself and anyone I am connected to.

I'd just like to add...
I am a professional and have made and lost a lot of money in my life time and after two divorces and bankruptcy am living a rather simple life. Very little excess money., but I have reason to think that will change for the better this fall......just being honest up front. I am spiritual but not comfortable with organized religion, but respect everyone's right to her own choice on this topic. Just don't try to convert me.
