A little about me...
I'm not a particularly outgoing person, tending to listen to others for awhile before offering my thoughts/opinions; this can sometimes come across as being aloof. My passion and sense of humor aren't so likely to be demonstrated to others early on but it will become clear if/when we are comfortable with each other. My passions: On the positive side: music, creativity, inspired teaching, nature's beauty/variety/complexity/intricacies. On the negative side: Stupidity, dishonesty, short-sightedness, waste, esp. when exhibited by our leaders, who should be setting examples we can, and want to, follow. I like to putter in my yard, sing, listen to music, attend theater and concerts, read, would like to have more time for atrs and crafts

About the one I'm looking for...
Intelligence, integrity, curiosity, compassion, appreciation of nature and the arts, ability and willingness to communicate and work together toward mutual goals and a deepening relationship. I want a partner who enjoys giving, working, sharing, laughing; who enjoys being creative and productive, individually and in collaboration. Must like cats. I'd be especially pleased to find a partner who enjoys working on home improvement/maintenance projects together, enjoys cooking together, and likes to dance.

I'd just like to add...
I'm pretty adaptable and resourceful - spent early years on a farm, have lived in the city, like both. I'm involved at my Reform synagogue (e.g., song leader/cantorial soloist for 9 years, now part of a small band), but don't consider myself particularly religious. My kids live out of state and get back here for regular (1-2 times per year) visits. I very much like, and like collaborating with, our current rabbi and the singing I get to do in my synagogue so am not willing to relocate at present.
