A little about me...
Hello. I find writing about myself a little interesting, somewhat difficult, and certainly unusual. After all, only autobiographers actually do it. So, I'll keep things short and sweet and simple.

I am a retired elementary teacher who happens to be a grandma to three wonderful grandsons. I am passionate about live theatre, kayaking, snowshoeing, swimming, being outdoors, gardening, and anything that connects me with nature. I regard Mother Earth as precious and endearing and love woods-walking and being outdoors. I love spending time with girlfriends at dinner or plays or movies or flea markets or festivals.

Recently, I downsized and purchased a small home that I'm currently living in and remodeling, which is a lot of fun for me. Being retired affords me the time to do so, but I also do much volunteer work.

However, there are things in life that I miss: like sharing a morning breakfast on the patio, coffee chats, playing Scrabble, doing fun jobs around the house with a special someone, cooking together, etc. It's much more fun to enjoy life's happenings with a partner, and as I grow older, I would like to be with a guy who loves life as much as I do.

About the one I'm looking for...
By this time we've all had our share of "rolly" coaster rides. I am hopeful that the guy for me recognizes this and can move forward whether after suffering through a deceased wife or from a divorced one. He should be easy-going, fun, committed, and enjoy doing things similar to my interests but not exclusive of them. I find joy in almost everything I do, most especially with a partner - friends first to possibly develop into something more.

I'd just like to add...
Communication is critical for me and time spent together needs great communication. It's okay for each of us to have our own interests, but I also feel it's of utmost importance to make the time to share similar things. Obviously, if we both enjoy something, whether it be watching a football game on tv or having dinner at a favorite restaurant, and we do it together, it becomes that much more gratifying. I'm interested in friendship first, seeing how things progress, and possibly something more. Whether we meet or not, I wish you much success in your search.
