A little about me...
I am a woman who wakes up each day with a positive attitude because I see the wonder and possibility in what the world can offer. I am enthusiastic about all that nature provides and do what I can to leave the earth in a better place than I found it. I love music(classical,show tunes,50's, 60's, 70's and love the Beatles. Another passion is cooking and reading cookbooks/magazines and occasional entertaining.I love to travel near and far. Driving to little out of the way towns and learning the history or trekking through second hand stores or antique shops is fun for me. Reading is a love of mine and I enjoy mostly non-fiction books. My job involves working with adolescents in recovery and doing parent and community outreach. I am calm but enthusiastic and am a good friend. I do not have many fears and I love people. I am one who hugs and lets my favorite friends know I care. You will not hear me raise my voice or belittle others. Most people respond best by hearing positive messages. However, I am not afraid to let you know if I feel you have hurt my feelings or offended me in some way.

About the one I'm looking for...
I love a person who is responsible for their daily chores and has good personal hygiene. I am not a fanatic but like good clean smells! Meaningful, intelligent conversation is important. Discussing the world and watching and reading current events is enjoyable with a partner. I have many friends that I would hope you would respect and I would reciprocate with your friends. My daughters and grandchildren are important in my life.I am not anxious to be married and am quite independent. However, I would like to share life and projects with someone who could work along side me or bring skills to the relationship. Carpentry or building skills would be a plus. I believe in fixing things instead of throwing them out. I value old furniture and dishes because they have a story to tell. Would love help keeping a nice yard and garden with my new friend. I'd just like to add...
I love boating, the water, camping and studying about new and different places to visit. I am not an exercise fanatic but respect those who do it in moderation. I do not golf but understand those who do love it and have helped set up a tournament for my work. Love snow and snowshoes but not snowmobiles. Not a fan of motorcycles but do like a nice car and like keeping it clean and well maintained. Would love a man who has lots of tools and keeps them organized and knows how to use them. It would be cool if he wanted to cook together sometimes.The journey to a new relationship can be as beautiful as the desired outcome.
