A little about me...
I believe honesty is one of life's greatest virtues. Living honestly is not about never telling an untruth but being truthful in your beliefs. Pope John Paul II once said that truths do not conflict and therefore living honestly means removing the conflicts from your belief. I also believe it is important that we assume partial responsibility for whatever situation in which we find ourselves. We can make a positive difference and living strictly for ourselves creates conflict.

I grew up on a farm in central Missouri, entered the Navy out of high-school and afterwards obtain my BS in Engineering Physics.I am more scientist than engineer and more philosopher than psychologist. My difficulties have never been as important as the lessons I have taken from them. I believe my assets at this stage of my life are maturity and authenticity. I have two children by previous marriages.

About the one I'm looking for...
Attraction is immediate but relationships take a while. I am looking for a women that inspires me. Before there can be success in anything there must first be motivation and motivation is not something you can will. It comes to you. Likewise I would want to be a motivator in their life. That means we would interact in a lively fashion. I like discussions that motivate. I would not want a relationship based on convenience. I am not looking for someone to satisfy my needs. Humor is important but I am not a joke teller. I work my humor into the discussion which hopefully has purpose other than making someone laugh. Likewise, I don't seek happiness. I trust that it will come to a life of involvement and caring.

I'd just like to add...
This is a new chapter in my life. It is as it was in the beginning for me, uncertain but hopeful. I am curious by nature and open to adventure. I am a communicator and enjoy the challenge of getting to know someone intimately.
