Been single way too long, and it's time to try and change that. I work as an independent aviation contractor which requires me to move around a lot, and I am a little shy with women, so I've just sort of resigned myself to going it alone for the last 15 years or so. I'm new to this on-line dating thing, maybe something will come of it...
I've been in Tucson, AZ for about a year now, living in my 38 foot 5th-wheel trailer. It's a pretty good lifestyle for someone who isn't overly attached to material things. My present job will probably keep me here for a few more months.
About the one I'm looking for...
Open minded, free-spirited, kind, patient... are terms that come to mind. I tend to be attracted to artistic people, though I think it's very important to keep an open mind. Spiritual compatibility is probably most important. I'm not talking about religious beliefs, but more a sense of belonging together and sameness of purpose.
Maybe I'm a dreamer, but I do believe that we all have a soul mate out there somewhere.
I'd just like to add...
Boats are my biggest passion. Love sailing, kayaking, rowing, quiet times on the water. I also like working on and building/restoring boats. NOT into jet-skis and go-fast power boats.
I also like to build things in general. I have a little machine shop in back of my RV, and I enjoy making various mechanical gadgets and artsy objects.
I have a few boating adventures on my "bucket list". I did one 2-month cruise in the Bahamas alone on my little 20 foot sailboat. It would be fun to do that again, but with a partner, and maybe a bigger boat. Alaska's inside passage sounds like an incredible way to spend a summer. There are also a lot of rivers and canals out east that need exploring. I'm working on re-building an old Swedish 25 foot power boat into a solar-electric powered long-range cruiser for that. So many possibilities... Time is a wasting... I need someone to help motivate me and to share those adventures with!
