A little about me...
I love to travel, cook, read (mostly non-fiction), research genealogy, and go out with friends for dinner or drinks. ( Interesting conversation is the best!) I love dogs, the Orioles and Ravens, drinking wine, walking, taking day trips. And I want to ride my bike again.

Particular areas of interest: world religions, current events, astrophysics,especially string theory (not that I pretend to understand, but I'm fascinated nonetheless), biblical archaeology, mythology.

I love practicing my religion (though I've been a bad girl of late!), but I do view it as mythology. Still, I believe in a higher being/creator and I wish I could figure out the nature of that being. I guess that's not gonna happen. ;-)

I like lots of weather and I can't imagine living somewhere where the
days are all sunny and warm--even though I love the beach!

Favorite TV shows are 30 Rock, Modern Family, CBS Sunday Morning, Food Network shows, and I'm dying to see Homeland, but alas, no premium channels. Best movies I've seen recently: Silver Linings Playbook, Argo, The Flat, Lincoln, and Les Miz. Looking foward to seeing Django and The Sessions. Great year for film!

About the one I'm looking for...
Common interests, open-minded, liberal in politics, well-read, not a bar fly. I like nice bars, but I don't want to be with a guy whose life revolves around them. It's hard to quantify what makes a relationship work and where the chemistry comes from, but within the context of an on-line dating service, I think a good place to begin is to build on common interests and philosophies and see where it goes.

I'd just like to add...
I'd hate to rule out anyone because of one unshared interest or a slight difference in viewpoints, but, that being said, there ARE some deal breakers. If you're looking for someone who is outdoorsy, I'm not your woman! While I enjoy walking, watching outdoor sports, biking, and relaxing on the beach, I'm not a camper or triathlete--and never aspire to be. And one thing I can't abide is bad grammar and punctuation, misspellings, too many typos. Sad but true: it makes me crazy. And: MUST LOVE DOGS. I have two. They're idiots, but I love the dear beasts. :-)
