A little about me...
Please understand that I will not be baring my soul, or my heart, on the Internet. I don't expect match.com to find a "soulmate" or a "love of my life" all by itself. All I'm looking for is an introduction, an opportunity for a first meeting. Anything beyond that, we can decide.

I'll try, though, to tell you enough about myself to pique your interest. I am comfortable with who I am; I know I am not perfect, but I work on it. I'm a positive, down-to-earth, practical person. I love to laugh and smile and have a clever sense of humor. I have a strong sense of fairness and sensitivity to the circumstances of others, and I really cannot stand mean-spiritedness. When things get tough, I stay calm. Generally, large crowds and big parties are not my favorites, but I can manage. I prefer the country to the city, but enjoy short visits to Boston, Montreal, New York and a variety of other cities. We can talk about politics and religion later, but I will tell you that I have enjoyed conversations with folks whose views or beliefs were very different from mine, as long as we were respectful.
