A little about me...
So, something about me, and why I would make a great partner. Well, I would not be a good partner for just anyone.I have been widowed for some time and as my daughter was young when my husband died, I chose to focus on raising her rather than pursuing a relationship. As a result I have become independent, so I would not be good for a controlling or domineering kind of person. I guess my friends would describe me as funny, intelligent, whimsical, creative, compassionate, and at times a bit on the eccentric side. Like my 1955 coral pink Rambler station wagon with tapestry seats. I love color. I sang in a Blues band in college. I used to teach Theater and perform in musicals. Now I’m a professional in the Mental Health field and I love my work. I like to garden, sew, and I like all kinds of music. I am liberal, a news junkie, and I listen to NPR. I have no debt. I believe in living within my means. I have done my work and healed from the pain of my loss. I am ready to move on.

About the one I'm looking for...
I would lke to meet someone who is kind to people and loves his life. I want to get to know a man who can introduce me to new things or take me to places I've never been before. I want someone who values his work, his family, his life and his history. I want someone who has interests and passions, is forward thinking and progressive, a man who does not want to change me, but one who finds me fine just as I am. I definitely need someone who can communicate, or at least tries to. I hope to find a partner who is kind, compassionate, thoughtful, caring, non-judgmental, takes care of his health and body, is sensitive, positive, loves (or at least did love) his work. Well...Maybe that's not a big one. I guess I'm just looking for a good, honest man anywhere in the world who might be looking for someone like me. We can work the rest out from there.

I'd just like to add...
Yes, I'm a smoker. This is a bummer for many. But I am very respectful of others. I do not smoke in public. I smoke only about 1-3 cigarettes a day. Most of of the people I work with do not even know I smoke. .You also might wonder why I'm trying to meet people this way...I live in a community of only 12,000. I work long hours and seldom go out, so I just don't meet men. And besides that, as I am still new at this, I would like to be able to correspond and get to know someone a bit before taking the next step. I don't know if there is anyone out there or if I'm asking too much, but I think it's worth a try, I also know that fitness is important to many and I don't mention it anywhere in my profile. I am fairly active, although not as much as would like. But I'm 5'6 and weigh around 135. Not the best of shape, but not the worst.
