A little about me...
I recently madeTucson my permanent home after 5 years of visiting here. I was born and raised in Ohio but I just can't take the cold and snowy winters anymore. I need the sun and the son. He moved here several years ago and visits twice a year just didn't fill my idea of family. I'm a retired teacher/professor but love the profession and would like to continue teaching maybe part-time. I love life and am up for just about anything, exploring new restaurants, festivals, movies, the theater, etc. I'm not afraid to do things by myself but I find life is better with someone to share the experience. I'm also comfortable just spending the evening in, watching TV, sports (yes I said sports), or videos. I was a bit of a jock in my youth (my parents had 3 girls), but since I can't play baseball or football any more I just watch and get my exercise by walking/hiking or swimming. Presently I walk between 2 and 3 miles most mornings. I'd like to hike some of the desert trails but I need a partner. Interested? I'm thinking of joining a gym so I can swim and maybe a little weight training, but haven't got to that yet. One of my regrets now is that I never learned to play golf - but I may give it a try. I also garden.

About the one I'm looking for...
I'm looking for friendship first because I believe a mate should be your best friend. Communication is very important.. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Someone to openly talk with, someone to share my life with, someone who will share his life with me. A kind, considerate, affectionate, honest man with a sense of humor. I have to admit, though, I'm not really comfortable with guys who are a few years younger than me. Why? I'm really not sure maybe all the news stories about teachers dating students.

I'd just like to add...
I had my chart read once, not that I believe in that stuff, but she told me I was a double water sign. That I believe - I leak when I'm happy, when I'm sad, when I'm angry, at songs, movies, commercials, you name it.
I also like to passenger on motorcycles. Wish I could drive, but I haven't found a bike that allows me to touch the ground at stops, after all I'm all of 5' nothing.
