A little about me...
My friends would say that I am kind, considerate and caring. My long time friends call me their social secretary as I am the first one to organize a get together. I am the oldest of 4 in my family, divorced for going on 7 years with no living children. I come from a large extended family, so I am used to loud, noisy gatherings; yet can enjoy smaller gatherings just as well. I believe that what makes me a great partner can also be a detriment. I am independent and can be a bit controlling; that oldest sibling syndrom. I'm at a place in my life where I am no longer defined by the person I am with, rather by who I am as a person. I have a sarcastic wit and many people, outside of my brothers, think I'm funny. My ethnic background is Irish, German and Polish. Yep a true Heinz 57.

About the one I'm looking for...
I am seeking someone who is kind, honest, trustworthy but not needy. I am searching for someone who is romantic but not overly so. I want a relationship where we are equals yet there are still some old fashion values involved. Helping a woman on with her coat, opening doors, assisting her with getting in and out of a car, a hand placed on my lower back as we are walking into a restaurant. Yet, I want someone who is okay if we don't spend every waking minute together. I don't work traditional hours or have normal weekends, so Mr. Right would have to be adaptable to when we could actually see each other.

I'd just like to add...
Growing up in a predominately male atmosphere, I am a sports fan. My top three favorites are baseball, football and golf. I like some college basketball but miss the days prior to the shot clock when a team could hang on to the ball for awhile, playing keep away. I think it's important to laugh with your partner. If you can't laugh then most likely you are crying and that isn't healthy. I enjoy travelling and wish I had more money to do so. I love the mountains and the beaches. My idea of camping, anymore, is at Holiday Inn. My ultimate vacation would be in a RV traveling across this great country seeing all the sights as well as the off the beaten track places. I enjoy visiting places that showcase life in the 1800's. I love to read, mostly contempporary romance, as I am a romantic at heart.
