A little about me...
I read somewhere that if you know where someone went to school, and what their father did, you know 75% about who they are. So here’s 3/4 of me in a nutshell:
I graduated from The International School, in Geneva Switzerland (1964) and The London Film School (1970). My father was a chemical engineer with the Dupont Company. (By the way, he’s still alive and is 102.)
I didn’t get married until I was 42 years of age. The girl I married was 11 years my junior, pretty, funny and very smart: Vassar/NYU Law, her father was a NYC cop. The marriage lasted 22 years, and ended when she told me she was having an affair. Turns out she wasn't that funny after all.
If the experience taught me anything, it is that you have to be completely honest with everyone, starting with yourself.
Now I do not consider myself a handsome man. I certainly don’t look 68, but I admit I aught to get to the gym more often. I’m a big tease, I joke around a lot, which often gets me in trouble.
About the one I'm looking for...
Growing up I think my ideal woman was Katharine Hepburn as Pat, in “Pat And Mike,” or Rosalind Russell as Hildy in “His Girl Friday.” I dreamed of marrying a smart, attractive funny lady, who was able to hold her own with any man.
The other week I was talking to a friend, and she said that maybe my ideal was a fiction, “After all,” she reminded me, “Both those movies were written by men.” But I still believe in love and I still believe that you can find a woman who you can have real fun with. Someone who'll be your muse, your lover and your friend. So to all you Pats, and Hildys out there, if you exist, please be in touch.
I'd just like to add...
A FINAL WORD ABOUT PASSION:
It might just be the most overused and/or misused word to appear on this site: “I’m passionate about travel.” I’m passionate about long walks on the beach.” I’m passionate
about family and friends.”
Please, isn't there anyone out there who's passionate about passion. That the lady I'd like to meet!
