A little about me...
I'm a community college faculty member--
what's that tell you about how important
money is to me? : ))) So long as I'm
comfortable and make enough to cover my
bills and enjoy living on Oahu, I'm happy. Maybe I should include still having most of my retirement nest-egg
because I'm so conservative. Love what
I do for a living and after 33 years of this still look forward to going into
school every day--wish I had more moti-
vated and hard-working students, but if
things were perfect, I'd probably be
bored stiff.
I collect nice raku, Japanese crafts, crystal artwork,
African masks, Polynesian warclubs, fine art prints.
some Chinese antiques, mineral specimens and fossils
(especially since I am one!).

About the one I'm looking for...
Hmmm. I'd like to meet, eventually, a
relatively attractive, independent,finan-cially stable lady who'd like to have a regular steady for dating, and even travelling. I'm hoping that she'd be a
social drinker, non-smoker, and totally
omnivorous in terms of enjoying ethnic
foods, and someone who enjoys sharing
all kinds of dishes off the pupu menu.
One of the hints above is assertive/sub-
missive, so I'd better address that.
There are some women who are type A
control freaks and they scare the heck
out of me. You know who you are! I really prefer someone who is mellow and live and let live. There
are lots of men who are ultimately into
control and I'm definitely not one of them.
In a perfect world, I'd like to meet a lady comfortable
enough to do the usual annual travel things--one or two
trips to the outer islands, one to Vegas and one to a
foreign destination, per year AND who could foot her own
basic travel expenses--I'd definitely cover "the frills".

I'd just like to add...
I love pets, both cats and dogs, BUT, I
don't like walking dogs, so guess what
kind of pets I share my life with? A
couple of outdoors and a couple of indoors. Plus I feed a bunch at my
workplace.
Favorite restaurants include (here goes)
Kincaid's and Epic for happy hours,
Cafe Sistina for northen Italian, any
of the Assagio clones will do for south-
ern. Love dim sum at Legends or the new
place in Kaneohe (the name of which I
can't recall right now). The Bistro,
12th Ave Grill, Hy's, Lucy's in Kailua,
Hiroshi's/Vino and I'd better stop here.
Puccini is my favorite operatic composer.
Favorite classical composers include
Brahms, Sibelius, Nielsen, Bartok, Shos-
takovitch, Wagner and the list goes on.
I love modern dance--too bad Iona is
about the only show in town. Tau Dance
used to put on more shows. I'm running
out of time, so I'll stop.
Favorite TV shows: "Lost", CSI LV & NY, BONES, NCIS,
L & O, SUV & CI, Numbers, So You Think you Can Dance (in
the summers), the new Castle, FoodNetwork (Guy Fieri and
Triple D, Paula Dean, Unwrapped, etc.) and the TravelChannel
(A. Bourdain, Bizarre Foods, Man v. Food)
