Greeting

A little about me...
I am fortunate to live in a neighborhood-Jefferson Terrace- where we all take care of each other. Life is good and I am looking forward to more of it. Perhaps you would like to get to know me and enjoy some of it together.

About the one I'm looking for...
I do enjoy women who are elegant and sophisticated. Being the visual, creature that I am-a picture of you really helps. I'm interested in knowing what you like to do for fun. About the only thing I don't like is shopping and opera. I'm not too fond of squash either, unless it has some shrimp with it. It helps if you share the following likes: a hot bath for two; cooking a meal together;art-particularly folk art although Monet is one of my favorites and I've been to his gardens; New Orleans and its street theater; Tuscany-a wonderful area; target shooting with shotguns, rifles and pistols; exploring the swamps and marshes with a little fishing and bird watching thrown in; small airplanes; driving back roads with the top down; finding the hole in the wall restaurant; and, most of all, sharing laughter at the foibles of ourselves.

I'd just like to add...
A sense of humor toward life and an adventuresome spirit are positives-and don't forget that picture of you. Like many of us here, I love just about anything outdoors. Currently volunteering at an elementary school and have started a program to enroll every fifth and sixth grader there in the college education savings program called START. Shaved my head in September in support of friends and relatives with cancer. It's grown out some now but kind of spiky. I have a cabin on the White River in northern Arkansas and love spending time there-especially if it snows. It makes it so peaceful and quiet . Professionally, most of the time I've been a peon Social Worker trying to get people to accept what most of us consider to be good mental health. Had a foray into real estate and spent a couple of years as an Administrative Law Judge. As a child,I lived in the Philippines, as an adult mostly in Baton Rouge. A few years in the Raleigh area and outside of Dallas-the latter best left behind. I've spent most of my life in various towns in south Louisiana. Travels have included much of U.S., some of Europe and various tropical islands.
