A little about me...
I am honest, grounded, intelligent, conservative, sincere and a respected member of a small rural community. I'm a full time Rancher raising registered Texas Longhorns, and a part time Independent Oil and Gas Landman. I have two awesome quarterhorses, one for pleasure (Dollar, the sorrel in the picture) and one for cutting/working cattle. I love going to the local rodeos and am a lifetime member and lifetime committeman of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. I also love exchanging my jeans and boots for a black dress and heels and going to the opera or ballet. GOTCHA! I have a multi-engine rated pilots license (although I am not current), love sailing (I did a lot of offshore competitive sailing), snow/water skiing, listen to 60's, C&W, jazz and R&B, and keep current on the news (both domestic and foreign). I see humor in most things, find pleasure in the little things, smile and laugh easily, love the ocean/gulf, mountains, lakes and rivers; the comfort of a .38 on my hip and a 30/30 in my scabbard. The sound of waves on a shore, an approaching thunderstorm, and wind chimes, sunrises and sunsets are just some of my favorite things.

About the one I'm looking for...
Consider this: People we attract into our life are reflections of who we are, therefore, become first what it is you want to attract. I'm looking for that all around top hand (not a ranch hand), a man who knows who he is and what he wants, who is honest and direct, naturally fun loving and gentle, realistic, compassionate, genuine, and who values family and respects nature. I adore the man who lets me soar, takes my breath away, appreciates my strengths, and balances my weaknesses, and who is not threatened by a slighty tougher, yet softer, kind of woman; a man who knows, intuitively, the right thing to say or do in that rare moment when I'm feeling blue. Also appealing is a man who values integrity and is playful, but who doesn't play at another's expense. I dislike rudeness, ignorance, antenna balls, and vulgarity. I'd just like to add...
I love quiet dinners, lively conversation, saddling up and riding for hours or just riding my fences checking cattle. I was many things before becomiing a rancher, including a corporate pilot for a construction company based out of Houston, flying regularly into Vail and Acapulco. I also accumulated over 100 hours in a Jet Ranger. I'm extremely curious and love a challenge, but won't respond to being pushed or prodded. A gentle touch or kind word goes so far.......... I am not high maintenance, hate to shop, love to read (but not romance novels; I want to have my own romance, not read about it), own my ranch, and am very independent (surprised?). I prefer men much taller than I am (5'6-1/2"), athletic (in shape), blue eyes (or, at least I thought I did/do), and no facial hair, although, I do like a nice mustache. One other thing, well maybe only one...... because I'm trying to quit smoking, I would prefer a nonsmoker. Oh, and that "chat" button on this site.... don't push it!
