I am a Diamond (Lessons From a Diamond)
You are like unto a diamond, rare, precious and of tremendous value. This is NOT immediately seen because for so long your worth has been hidden beneath layers of difficulties. Many have devalued, discounted and tried to degrade your worth because they were not willing to dig deep enough to know what you are, who you are and whose you are.
Before you can know a diamond's worth it must first be mined. Most of diamonds are found deep beneath the earth’s surface and need to be excavated from molten rock, called kimberlite. On the average, more than 20 tons of kimberlite must be processed in order to procure just one diamond.
About the one I'm looking for...
Just like the diamond, you have had to emerge from beneath the crust of many layers of earth stuff. You have had to breakthrough many layers of hard things. Your greatest consolation in life should be that, the who ordained your placement and ordered your steps did so because He understood that like the diamond, you must go through the full process of being retrieved and experience being discovered and self discovery. Your process was not ordained for your boasting but rather for you self knowledge of God's value of who you are. It doesn't really matter who wouldn't dig to discover you, because God was willing to dig as deep as it required to bring you forth.
The value of a diamond is determined by four characteristics: carat (weight), color, clarity and cut.
Your "weight" has to do with your stature and substance.
Your "color" has to do with your anointing and favor.
Your clarity has to do with your soundness of mind and soberness of thought in the things that matter most.
Your cut has to do with your form, the geometry of your worship and holiness
I'd just like to add...
Among the diamond’s most unique qualities is that it is the hardest of all known substances to man, and it therefore can only be cut with another diamond or diamond dust. In others words like the diamond, the reason that you are still here is because you are "UNBREAKABLE". Other diamonds may scratch you here and there but if that happens you are actually in good company, the company of diamonds. They can scratch you, but they can't break you.
Finally, remember the word "Diamond" comes from the Greek term "adamas," which means "unconquerable." Through every trial of life and every conspiratorial attack of the enemy declare what God has done for you, He has made you "UNCONQUERABLE
