A little about me...
On my business card I simply say, " in the life of portry"---- and that's about it. I write, read and am concerned with poetry--- co-president (with my daughter) of Maine Poets Society, and mentor to anyone who desires to be mentored. I also love my five kids and my grands
and my dear, dear friends far and wide & close to home, but last year I lost my "best male buddy" and feel very lonely for a quiet male friendship in my life (not, NOT, necessarily a poet!!!!)--- but liking it would be wonderful!!!!

About the one I'm looking for...
Just an ordinary fella who feels lonely now and then for a female friend in his life. . . . it would be wonderful if he lived near enough to me so he could come for a cup of coffee now and then--- if he has wheels and we could go to the movies occasionally, I'd be in heaven!! therwise, phones can be very helpful in friendships and fortunately I have a very reasonably rated system and could do all the calling. . . . If you like to read (history especially)--- a great plus. An occasional drop of sherry before supper. . . I'd prefer a non-smoker, but who am I to be so choosey???? I have 2 cats & love to walk.

I'd just like to add...
As a widow after 50 remarkably happy years with a fine man, I do sort of simply MISS THE SOUND OF A MAN'S VOICE!!!!;--- and men think differently from women!! I love my women friends, but I would dearly value, and probably spoil, a close male buddy who DOES NOT HAVE a lady love & doesn't want one--- I wouldn't want to be the cause of any jealousy!!
