A little about me...
Hello, My name is Jan. I am rather shy - until I get to know you.
I have a very strong faith in GOD and the power of PRAYER.
There are many things in life far more important to me than money! I do not fret about much of anything, I just take things as they come.
I have had many different jobs through the years; two of my favorites were working in law enforcement as a dispatcher, did that for almost ten years.
The other one was a bit different, I operated an elevator in a large department store years ago, do you remember when live people operated elevators? -- Now all they have are the "push button" elevators. I also like to "people watch", do you?

I like to go fishing, just go for a drive or take a long trip. I enjoy driving and have my own little red Ford car. I even like to watch a ballgame on occasion....I enjoy doing some photography with my digital camera -- still learning about it.
The most important "job", I feel, was raising my 6 children -- they have all left the nest by now and have families of their own and some of them are grandparents too...I am extremely proud of each and everyone of them !!!

About the one I'm looking for...
"What am I looking for in a partner?" He should, above all, be HONEST as I would be with him. He should have a sense of humor, be loving, be patient; we should be "partners" and be able to talk things over always! There is an old saying that says a good relationship or marriage should be 50/50 ----but that doesn't go far enough - it should be 100%/100% between two people who love each other -- don't stop at 50%!!
Hopefully that special someone would like similar things; however, we should be able to compromise on differences....
I believe everyone needs to have some "alone time" too.

I'd just like to add...
I am slightly handicapped. But that doesn't stop me from doing all the things I mentioned above besides going out to dinner or cooking a great meal at home (I've been told that I am a pretty good cook). I love life and all that it offers. I am always the optimist, seeing the glass MORE than half full. Life is so very interesting; even when we make mistakes, and we all do, the trick is to learn from them --- going through those experiences, and how we handle them, is another part of making life more interesting.
