A little about me...
Chess -- teach, write books, and play in tournaments. Love movies, rock music, swimming, traveling, romance, sports (Red Sox and Patriots). Originally from Boston, still have family there. My first chess book, "Formation Attacks" hit #1 in the world for chess books last summer. I am about to release my next book, "Formation Attack Strategies" around June.



My goals in the upcoming years are to travel and earn International Chess titles: FIDE Master,International Master, and International Grandmaster. My current title is Life Master.

I'd just like to add...
My demeanor is easy going and personable, except when competing. I can be quite flexible with right person. My personality is nothing like the typical chess master. I took up chess late in life (16) and was a jock growing up -- on my Junior high baseball team, played competitive Hockey, member of YMCA Swim Team, avid Candelpin and Duck pin bowler. I feel comfortable and at home with geeks and jocks. For 27 years, I was employed as a Senior Software Engineer, including 10 years working in Research and Development at Wang Labs in Lowell, MA.

I have already done quite a bit of traveling and have been to quite a few places in the world. These days I mostly want to travel the few parts of the US that I have not been to, home (Boston and Lowell) from time to time and places with tournaments that can help me attain my chess titles. Most of those tournament are in Vegas and LA. The top places on my personal list are Hawaii and Seattle.
