I'm a divorced, former NY Cinematographer who moved up to Maine eleven years ago to find peace and serenity. I've been basically a free lance all my working days, and right now I am mostly farming -- I live on and work bits and pieces of a beautiful 45 acre "saltwater" organic farm property in Maine.
In addition to working in the film industry, and to farming, I’ve been involved over the years in a number of other projects as well -- from charter boat skipper to yacht broker (I carry Coast Guard Master’s papers); from running a clam reclamation program to editing and producing a program for people who have gone through a divorce; from promoting an environmentally friendly system for municipal waste management to designing and building two waterfront houses.
I am also a Reiki practitioner and ran a Reiki Circle in Ellsworth, Maine, for 4 years. And I’m a good cook -- and bread baker. In addition, I’ve been influenced over the years by the works of Eckhart Tolle, among others, along with Rudolf Steiner (I do follow BioDynamic practices on my farm), and my interest in the nutritional guidelines of the Weston A. Price Foundation and they have definitely changed my way of looking at my life.
About the one I'm looking for...
At this point I’m looking for someone to share my life with, on and/or off the farm. I’m a very sensual, sensuous, passionate person, and I’d love to share the rest of my life -- my joys, my sorrows, my ups, my downs -- with a non-judgmental, sharing, empathetic woman; something I haven’t been able to do for awhile. I also believe that physical contact is very important to an open, trusting, loving relationship. I love to touch and be touched .... and to follow whatever that leads to .... and I get great joy in bringing pleasure to a partner.
My farm is a truly beautiful place to live and to be totally self sufficient, but without what I would call a real life partner -- a lover -- a partner in the complete sense of the word -- a woman with whom to share the joys (and the difficulties) of coexistence -- it's lacking. I'm looking for someone with whom I can share dreams, loves, activities and intellectual and spiritual learning. To once again paraphrase the quote from "The Family of Man" -- we two, together, can be a multitude.
I'd just like to add...
I love to swim, to kayak and to sail -- sailing is a form of meditation for me. I've been sailing since I was 6 years old -- but between the time spent farming and, to some degree, lack of crew, I don't get to sail anywhere near as much as I would like to, and I recently sold my boat.
And in August of 2010, in spite of the poor market conditions, I managed to sell my farm and lease it back again. The sale has given me the flexibility to either stay here (at least for a few more years) or change my life completely, or any variation thereof. However with the changes happening to the planet I have certain trepidations about living on a property with its highest point only 58 feet above sea level, and I’m thinking of looking for someplace a bit higher —- either in Maine or elsewhere. I recently spent a little over a month in the Asheville, North Carolina area and found it a happy, exciting, comfortable place to be, and I've been exploring the possibilities of moving to New Zealand for a long time, but at the moment I’m open to any and all suggestions.
