A little about me...
I've had an interesting life so far - and that's the key phrase - so far - I plan to live a good many years, (if the Good Lord sees fit!) and I want to live them fully. I am still pretty busy working full time. Not rich enough to retire by a long shot, but I love my job. I have a pretty cool garden that has been a work in progress for years. The bounty last year was breathtaking. I love to canoe, I've sailed a bit. I 'pack' well on a motorcycle, having done it through about 22 states in 10 weeks when I was a bit younger and a lot locally. I write, read, cook, sew. I love to eat well prepared food. Doesn't need to be fancy, just made with care. Dinner with candles or picnics with ants and spiders are all the same to me. It is the company at the meal I care about. I'm very active, never was extremely athletic, can still do a head stand and touch my toes without groaning!! :) I'm a photoholic. Usually have a camera in my purse and/or car. I'm not squeamish but I don't like modern horror shows. A good thriller is fine. Action, adventure, comedy. NCIS, Bones, Big Bang.

About the one I'm looking for...
I'd like a man who has a pretty full life, but still has an odd corner or two that needs a 'woman's touch.' Don't be put out if I can't be at your beck and call at this point in my life. I am a pleaser - I'll rub your shoulders and watch your favorite TV show if you will rub mine later and record my show - and then watch it with me later. Do you want to read the Digest jokes aloud? Or the Newspaper? Fine with me. Challenge me to Wheel of Fortune bets - yep! Please, don't be easily ruffled by kids, cats, dogs, minor chaos. If you are looking for a couch potato - sorry - no one home here. But I am a great couch snuggler if you will sit through a 'chick flick' with me once in a while. I'll bring candles, you bring wine. Scrabble, Uno. Walk with me in the rain or the sunshine. Honor the flag, respect men and women equally, believe that our children are precious. Don't kick the dog. Don't expect a maid. But if you cook, I will wash up. Be health conscious, but not a health nut. Please don't smoke around me. (Tobacco chew in your cheek - yech!)

I'd just like to add...
I was raised by the best mom and dad in the whole world. They were married for 58 years, and Dad held her hand as that ended. Though they were both independent people they were 'joined at the hip.' They pulled tandem all their married life. The each gave 110 percent to the other. I'll settle for half that now, but not much less than half. I am healthy - head to toe. I don't snore. I am not looking for a life partner - just a friend for this part of the journey. No strings except around the pot roast. I've never kicked a dog.
