A little about me...
I'm kind -- almost always. I've lost my temper a handful of times in this life. Attentive, courteous, considerate? Yes, I'm those things plus compassionate, generous and humane. If there's a clash of ideas, nothing is gained from being p.o.'d.

I'm into sports but also classical to classic rock, Celtic, bluegrass & light jazz, the History Channel & CNN, current events and deep conversations. Movies with "awwww" moments and happy endings, it's all good. I'm affectionate and seek first my partner's satisfaction. That blend is me.

Ongoing conversation: Will we LIKE each other long-term? Do we have fun together? Do you respect my opinions and I yours? That's all huge.

Yet more than all that, is there a spark? It could be a she's-pretty/he's-handsome initial reaction. Or it might occur in a moment over conversation. Or just a feeling after we decide to hold hands.

My constant companions are a sweet black Labrador who NEVER barks and a rescue cocker spaniel lapdog who latched onto me. So, "Must Love Dogs" applies.

I've loved before; most of us have. A lifelong attachment escaped me, as it did you. I want to fall in love again, just like at 18 or 25. I want to look longingly into your eyes and say, "I really do love you."

About the one I'm looking for...
You should share my overall views on partnering (never-ending conversation, respect, physical spark), but also have interests and passions not necessarily my own. Most importantly, you must agree that a win-win can be found in almost any disagreement.

If, however, you believe Earth is only 9,000 years old, if you have multiple tattoos or body piercings or believe that Jesus will return as a discount insurance guru, I'm probably not your guy.

You must be a person who gravitates to the less fortunate, not just cluck-clucking that it's too bad but occasionally pitching in. In sports, unless it's your team from long ago, you generally pull for the underdog. Your friends say emphatically that they've never known a more loyal person.

You've rarely been caught in a lie and, when you were, it was to protect someone else. You laugh heartily at a good joke and have a couple of your own at the ready. People who know you only slightly would say instantly, "She's a good person, no doubt." People who know you extraordinarily well would say, "She's a good person, I know for sure."

I'd just like to add...
I'm a lifelong Detroit Tigers fan. Can't help it. I do support the Braves (They're in the other league!) but basically I'm a Tiger.
