A little about me...
I've lived in Alaska all my life; my family homesteaded here in the 50's. I'm a pretty down to earth kinda person but at the same time I love all this new technology too. I'm a bit different than a lot of women in some ways such as I do not like gossip, I do not like drama. I have no time for people that are mean. I do love well made knives, guns, tools, boots, hats, working out, being strong. I love science, anthropology; my favorite magazines are Science News and Discover. Genetics, forensic science and microscopic critters fascinate me. I find learning how things work and how things are made exciting. I enjoy many activities including wood working, boating, reading, fishing, berry picking, camping, road trips, gardening, cooking outside, good conversations and good company. I love animals especially dogs, all kinds of breeds from tiny to huge.
About the one I'm looking for...
It would be awesome to meet a good man to do things with, to enjoy. To spoil and be spoiled by... A guy with old fashion morals, positive attitude and likes to laugh.
I'd just like to add...
I do not like being around people who smoke, chew, drink alcohol to excess or do illegal drugs of any kind. and you Must love dogs or you probably won't want to be around me, I almost always have a dog or two along.

My Top Interests:
Nature and Outdoors
I've always loved being outside. Even as a kid raised here in Alaska, no matter the weather, I spent time outside everyday. The air feels wonderful to breath. It feels like coming alive when you step outside. When I lived on the coast one of my favorite things to do was to get in my canoe and follow the shoreline and Islands, stopping to explore inviting places.
It feels so good to be strong! Being healthy IS feeling good. And with any luck it'll help me live longer; more time to learn more stuff, do more things.
Family and Friends
My family and friends (including the four legged ones) are the most important things there are to me!
