A little about me...
Just decided to try this again after about a year away, so sorry if I haven't answered any messages. I find this hard because at this age everyone has such background both good and bad; and using a "dating" site isn't exactly fun for me. I don't feel any older than I did 10 years ago and am quite active ... walking and exercising mostly. I am a retired teacher with a part-time job at WSU because I love teaching and kids. I have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren and help with my two grandsons so am busy, but have realized that I want more in my life. I'd have to say I'm "alone by choice: but not lonely. I am thought to be intelligent, kind, pretty easy going, laugh easily, and love animals, dogs in particular! I am looking for a friend first who has his own life, too, but can make room for someone else. I like to read, be with family, be outdoors, walk, watch sports ... big Arizona Wildcats basketball fan (like Gonzaga, too), and any sport my grandsons play! Everyone has good and not so good traits ... hopefully, the good outweighs the bad (as I hope mine do). I believe initial chemistry is important, but only time can tell if there is a true connection. I am a very compassionate person and committed to those I love.
About the one I'm looking for...
Someone who I can talk to and laugh with easily and who feels comfortable with me ... and I feel comfortable with, too! Family is very important to me. A few things that I choose not to "deal with" are people who are egotistical and/or judgemental of others; I believe in the saying that you need to walk a mile in another's person shoes before you really know him or her. Relationships should make both people smile just thinking about the other one.
I'd just like to add...
I'm a 65 year old woman and am quite happy with who I am and my age. I would like to communicate with people in my age range (i.e., 60-74) and in my area. Please do not send me "flirts" or standardized messages as they really don't mean much. If you would like to communicate/connect with me please send a real message and I will reply. Thank you ...

My Top Interests:
I think it is important to keep yourself in good health and as fit as possible as you get older ... not as fit as a younger person, but fit for yourself.
I don't play many sports anymore (maybe a little tennis), but I love watching college basketball and football, professional soccer and baseball and any sport my grandsons play!
I think it is important to stay connected to learning in whatever way possible ... even when retired. For me, that is a great part-time job in my field!
