A little about me...
A lover of nature and of the arts, especially music. Love gardens and gardening, too. Love of the beautiful is one of my principle drives. Have a master's in math, but I am nice, really! :-) Have a continuing interest in scientific questions.
Healthy, a good listener, a little reserved, but not aloof. Kind, and usually quiet, but sometimes carried away with enthusiasm. Sometimes silly sense of humor. A romantic, yet with a pretty realistic streak.
A lifelong Protestant, respectful and mindful of the beliefs of others, and convinced that environmental responsibility is the transcendent issue of the day. Tremendously impressed with Eckhart Tolle's "A New Earth."
Modestly solvent and fiscally responsible.
I would like most of all to develop an deep, intimate, and affectionate long term relationship. Failing this, it would be nice to have an occasional companion for dinner, or a concert (classical, folk, or jazz, mostly), or a walk, or the like.
About the one I'm looking for...
Honest, intelligent, well-educated, kind, with a lively esthetic sense, at least somewhat "green," with a thirst for social and economic justice, and with a taste for love in all its forms. And with a sense of humor! (No extreme conservatives need apply. :-) )
I'd just like to add...
Favorite places: MFA, Jordan Hall, Symphony Hall, Tower Hill, Arnold Arboretum, Ipswich, Essex, Newburyport, Plum Island (Parker River Nature Reserve), my small garden, Great Brook Farm State Park, ... and on and on.
GREATEST HOPES: that the people of the world find the courage and will and honesty to solve the global climate change problem. AND that this country regain its true democratic nature and socio-economic justice!
