A little about me...
I love to put a smile on someone's face or a chuckle into another's day. Nonetheless, I can be quite serious, especially when it comes to those who are a part of my life and who allow me to be a part of theirs. Perhaps the most treasured word -- and relationship -- is "friend." Friendship is like soil and water on a seedling. Without that foundation and sustenance, nothing can grow. Age really means very little -- especially in comparison to things like trust, laughter, sharing, and contentment. I am continually surprised by the numbers attached to one's life and have thus decided that they really don't matter -- and I almost have myself convinced! My passions include not only those things I do for enjoyment (riding a good horse, devouring a good mystery) but also experiences which I've not been able to repeat -- such as sailing and deep-sea fishing. Although I've led a life many would envy, the door is almost always open to new experiences -- or gaining a new perspective on past experiences. Other, more tangible necessities to my life are my animals, friends and family, music and books. And, just for the record, I can cook but prefer to have someone else do the windows.
About the one I'm looking for...
A man complete unto himself who doesn't "need" a mate but feels that life's tapestry could be richer should new threads be woven into it. In a perfect world, this man would share my involvement with horses. However, in the world as we know it, the man would not begrudge the time spent with my horse. He, too, would have interests which may, or may not, be shared. The man would know that trust is based on faith and faith is believing in something we cannot see. Rather than being something earned, trust would be a treasure to be lost. The man will understand that emotions are as important as ideas and both are better shared. The man will also know that total agreement is not necessary all the time! The man will value independence but know that the ability to stand alone isn't synonymous with always standing alone. The man will love to live, enduring the sad and bad and exalt in the joyful and good. And he will know how to laugh.
I'd just like to add...
