A little about me...
I am very much a person who enjoys life. I enjoy my lifestyle and my dog. My Bichon ,LuLu,and I are a "pair";so if you are opposed to "house pets", you don't want me. She is very well trained though. I work M-F on an FLP stock and bond portfolio from 8:30 to 3 from my condo. I enjoy doing this and it keeps my brain active and healthy. I watch Fox Business during those hours, and go 2 miles on my elliptical at some point in the morning on workdays. My condo is situated on the Woodlands Waterway and it is a fantastic place to "hang out." All the amenities of life are convenient and well appointed in the area. I am a big Christmas fan, and the trees in the area are wrapped year round in white lights. That gives me a little taste of Christmas year round. There is still a little girl inside of me, just like many of you have your little boys alive and well inside of you! I think that is what keeps me enjoying life and thinking young.
I would not be opposed to living part of the year in a state where there is a cooler climate. Texas summers are long and hot. With the right person, I would consider this option. I am very close with my two granddaughters, and family is important to me.
About the one I'm looking for...
Looking back over my life, I believe I would describe it as the “little red train that could.” I have never been a quitter, and always believed that if a person did their best and worked hard things would turn out well. I have had many difficulties in life, but they have served to make me a stronger, more capable and understanding individual. If every day were rainbows and roses, we wouldn’t really appreciate life to the fullest. Life has ups and downs, and we all have to experience these and come out the other side a better person. Our lives are gifts from God above, and he will bless us for our efforts. I am not interested in getting married or living together. I would enjoy a close, caring relationship where we share experiences and give each other a helping hand or encouraging word when needed. Remember the song, Little Things mean A lot? Well they do, holding hands, a tender hug, a smile, sharing a joy or sorrow, a nice glass of wine all add to the enjoyment of time spent together. If I make a commitment, I am sincere in it. I will not try to remake you, and I expect the same consideration from you. There may be little areas each of us can "tweek", but no major overhauls!??
I am looking for someone with a similar philosophy.
I'd just like to add...
My life was greatly influenced by my grandparents who raised me until I was 9 years old. They were very poor in material things, but rich in love and values which they passed on to me. I suppose I have some old fashioned ideas like honesty and integrity never “go out of style.” A person is only as good as his/her word. I enjoy many things in life and would be agreeable to trying about anything with the exception of sky diving. I did take flying lessons in my 50’s as I traveled with a friend in a twin engine plane and wanted to be able to land and navigate in case some catastrophe would befall him! I enjoy weekend trips, mountains, beaches, walking my dog, reading, dancing, Netflix streaming, family get togethers, plays and many other activities. I am open to new experiences too. Trying new things keeps a person relevant to society.
