A little about me...

About the one I'm looking for...
Looking back over my life, I believe I would describe it as the “little red train that could.” I have never been a quitter, and always believed that if a person did their best and worked hard things would turn out well. I have had many difficulties in life, but they have served to make me a stronger, more capable and understanding individual. If every day were rainbows and roses, we wouldn’t really appreciate life to the fullest. Life has ups and downs, and we all have to experience these and come out the other side a better person. Our lives are gifts from God above, and he will bless us for our efforts.
I am looking for someone with a similar philosophy on life!
I'd just like to add...
My life was greatly influenced by my grandparents who raised me until I was 9 years old. They were very poor in material things, but rich in love and values which they passed on to me. I suppose I have some old fashioned ideas like honesty and integrity never “go out of style.” A person is only as good as his/her word. I enjoy many things in life and would be agreeable to trying about anything with the exception of sky diving. I did take flying lessons in my 50’s as I traveled with a friend in a twin engine plane and wanted to be able to land and navigate in case some catastrophe would befall him! I enjoy weekend trips, mountains, beaches, walking my dog, reading, dancing, Netflix streaming, family get togethers, plays and many other activities. I am open to new experiences too. Trying new things keeps a person relevant to society.
