A little about me...
I am recently retired from teaching students who are gifted and/or talented. I completed my 49 year career supervising 30 teachers who taught students gifted in the arts. I am passionate about the arts and the enrichment they bring to life. I will want to have the arts in my life. I am fairly well-rounded in things I enjoy: from eating out in good restaurants, supporting the LSU Tigers (really SEC football) and the New Orleans Saints, or attending concerts, theatre, or movies. I like walking in the woods, or along the beach. I love catching a red fish (they are fighters). I enjoy sailing. I am a great listener, love deep conversations, emotional intimacy, and have the desire to experience a lot of things I've missed along the way by working two jobs for over ten years. I'd love to learn to ballroom dance; have even thought about sky-diving. I'd love to learn to fly a plane and have wondered if its too late to take up golf. I love the mountains and the sea and since I don't live near either hope to travel there for yearly visits. I'm looking forward to enriching each new day from here forward.
About the one I'm looking for...
I'm looking for a partner who is fulfilled and satisfied with his life as is except for that one place inside that longs for someone with whom he can share his life's experiences. That being said,he should also be flexible enough to make an opening in his life. I want him to be able to maintain an optimistic attitude whatever life deals us; to seek the positive aspects that lie in each disappointment. He needs to be passionate about something and accepting of things I am passionate about. Trustworthy, honest, and kind and yet someone who likes to laugh and have fun; isn't afraid to try something new. I hope at the end of the day he will want to sit with me and tell me his joys from the day.
I'd just like to add...
I'm "Quite Young" for my age. I don't feel nor act like most people my age. I need a young thinking and moving mate. This phase (retirement )of my life is just beginning and I have a zest for this life! There is much yet to experience!

My Top Interests:
Music is both background, harmony, and melody in my life. I enjoy providing background music(piano) for dining at a local restaurant. Music can elevate and change my mood bringing harmony to my life. Music is a tool for communicating my feelings and making spiritual connections with those who enter my world providing the "melody" of my life.My musical tastes are eclectic ranging from Classical, Broadway,to American standards Enjoy all arts, Theatre, Viual Art, Opera, Ballet, Movies, Writing.
I walk 3 miles per day, 5 days a week. I find the exercise both helps me maintain my physical shape and well-being and also helps elevate and /or subdue my mood. I enjoy walking outside in my neighborhood. I try to walk 9,000-10,000 steps each day. I am scheduled to start a Pilates class next week.
Travel is something I am looking forward to in these next few years. I have traveled to Hawaii, California,Florida,Colorado, Canada, Mexico. Just returned from a trip to Greece to visit a cousin who lives on the island Ikaria. Hope to take at least one trip outside the USA each year. I have yet to travel to see the leaves turn in the fall. Hope to do that, perhaps next year. I love to take a trip to New York to see some Broadway shows and my dream is one day to attend an opera at the Met.
