A little about me...
No flirts; write thoughts instead & have a photo w/your profile.
Corrections: I am open to all relationship options; I have only one dog - plural was only option.
I'm a secular Jew who never believed in Santa Claus, Tinkerbell's fairy dust, etc.
I like French, Italian, Japanese, some Chinese, & Spanish cuisines & seafood. I like cooking but no time for it right now.
I love my work as the executive director of a downtown neighborhood association that represents residents & businesses, hotels, the arts, & more; I am also an urban planner. I have a good sense of humor, I grew up thinking it important to contribute to society’s betterment. I am persistent, like a challenge, am a perfectionist, & I always underestimate how long it will take me to do most everything. My family, friends, & work are very important. I like to visit new places, & return to old favorites. Prefer hiking on Madison Ave or the rue de Rennes to the Appalachian trail. I am financially comfortable. Sure it would be nice to fly first class - especially on United Airlines these days, but I decided long ago that what I do is more important than $$$ though I do like a comfortable lifestyle. I love my life but a special man would make it all the better.
About the one I'm looking for...
A good sense of humor, principled, decisive, can admit errors, likes what he did/does, thinks of himself as being successful in his field of work, positive outlook, kind, cheerful, inquisitive, conversant, pleasant looking, wants rather than needs to have someone in his life, is neither a timid driver nor a maniac, can become a good friend, and is responsible and generous. Okay, if he looked like Paul Newman, I would not object.
I'd just like to add...
I have two boys in their 20's & a large extended family I am in touch with. I have friends from childhood days, college, & camp, & I keep making new friends – perhaps because I am loyal. I am also friendly. I am not nor ever was athletic though loved studying ballet. I care more than most about my physical environment; my home is what is called "classic modern," I am neat, dislike clutter, and nothing I have can be considered fussy. I always wanted to care less about my appearance, but never could - not even in the '60's. My wishes for what will never be are: that I could sing on key, needed only 4 - 6 hours sleep every night, had a photographic memory, could eat anything I wanted to without gaining weight or clogging arteries, and had Jean Shrimpton's hair. I am responsible most of the time; occasionally over responsible. Lots of my social life is related to my work – theater, museums, art galleries, restaurants – most of which I love. I learned that what people do is more telling and important than what they say.
