A little about me...
I'm an intelligent, soft-spoken, good-hearted woman who enjoys the simple side of life. I'm comfortable in my own skin and am at home both indoors and out. I'm an independent soul...but...I'm missing my other half. I'd love to meet that certain someone who will laugh with me as often as possible as we enjoy life. I love quiet evenings at home with my fella! It's probably cliche by now, but how about an evening spent together in the kitchen? (I LOVE to cook) I'm family oriented - I hope you are too. I can always be relied on, and I've got a soft center and am a romantic at heart. I'm not a big "partier", I'm not loud and I don't talk "big'. Sometimes it's so much nicer to listen to one's heart instead of ones voice. I am caring, sincere, independent and responsible. I enjoy outside activities. I like movies, theater, dining out, long drives, surprises, traveling, romantic getaways, holding hands, long conversations, reading and helping others. I am good-hearted; respectful; have been told that I'm a lot of fun and I'm always eager to please someone I like; I'll listen to you and I won't interrupt. There's a lot more that makes "me" - and I would enjoy taking the time to introduce myself to you...if you feel the same way.
About the one I'm looking for...
I would never presume to be able to describe my soul-mate in a little box. There are so many different types of people...all different and all wonderful. I know that honesty, intelligence, generosity of soul and a good heart are things that appeal the most to me. I'd like to find a man who wants friendship AND commitment. Chemistry is always a factor, but I think open, honest communication is key - we can figure out the rest as we go along.
I'd just like to add...
In order to get to know people in life, you have to know where they've been, where they are, and where they are going. By studying their attributes and their flaws, you can better learn what turns them off and on. As far as relationships go, I have found that after a while you learn the difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul, and I've learned that love doesn't mean leaning, and company doesn't mean security, and I can begin to understand that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't promises. I can accept my own defeats with my head held high and my eyes wide open, with the Grace of a Woman, not the Grief of a Child. I've learned to build my roads on today because tomorrow's ground can sometimes be uncertain for plans, and futures, have a way of falling down in mid-flight. It took awhile, but I also learned that even sunshine burns... if you get too much. I am learning to look forward to the rain...So I plant my own own garden and decorate my soul instead of waiting for someone to bring me flowers. I believe that love isn't all about who you were with on Friday night, but instead about who you want to spend all day Saturday with. Too romantic? Maybe so - but I've always liked the idea! :)

My Top Interests:
Crafts and Creating
I spend a lot of free time on my crafts. I am a lamp worker and spend a lot of time over my torch, melting glass until it flows into pools of brilliant color...then formed into unique beads. And BASEBALL! I am a fanatic. The daughter of a former Cincinnati Red, I spend a LOT of time at the ballpark during the season. I have season tickets to the Isotopes and I make a point of traveling during Spring Training...Want to join me?
I'm a Food Network junkie. I just bought a brand new zester. I have a mulling spice ball and a mortar and pestle...and I actually know how to use them. (and often do!) I believe that you should use your best pots, pans and utensils. Every day. Need I say more?
Family and Friends
My family and friends are a big part of my life. I'm one of the lucky ones that had an absolutely wonderful childhood. My parents have been married more than half a century and they still hold hands.
I love to share time with my friends. They keep me young and involved. But most of all I'll love my partner with everything I have and everything I am.
