A little about me...
I am intellectually curious, well-educated (it was either advanced degrees or get a job!), and work in healthcare. Fortunate to control my schedule, which allows me to balance work and play effectively, and pursue my professional and personal interests.
Dad of 3 great girls who are well on the road to adulthood (youngest started college this fall). They would describe me as loving, supportive, outgoing, smart, occasionally fiery, and tall, and remind me that I should pursue my dreams as they've been encouraged to do.
Have discovered that cycling is therapeutic on many levels, ski every winter, and work on my golf handicap as time permits. Enjoy an occasional cocktail and a more frequent glass of wine, love food (have finally learned how to eat healthfully), like dining out or cooking in, and have gotten back into theatre, music, dance and the arts. Love movies, lost interest in tv, like to write, read in spurts, and ready to travel with someone (cycling tour of europe high on the list).
Perhaps most importantly, have gotten much better at living in the moment, and tossed my crystal ball overboard.
About the one I'm looking for...
As to what I'm looking for, presumably the same as most....a partner to share life's experiences with. You should be physically active and interested in travel. I've heard it said that "I'm looking for someone to be independent with", which resonated with me. It would be nice if you shared some of my interests (golf, cycling, skiing), and introduced me to some of your interests.
While I've met some wonderful people, I'm at my best when in a committed monogamous relationship. My house on Ninigret Pond will always serve as a home base (great place to summer), but I've often thought that spending time in or closer to a New England city might be the perfect supplement to southern RI. Although distance adds a layer of complexity to developing a relationship, I'm willing to travel for the right person.....nothing ventured, nothing gained.
And as much as I like writing, I prefer a live encounter......after all, you can never really tell about a person until you meet them. Looking forward to meeting you!
I'd just like to add...
Send me a message.
