Nature and Outdoors

Nature and Outdoors

I grew up in West Texas on a small farm, a long way away from an ocean. There was always something to do like hiking or digging for Indian relics in a pasture, miles from anywhere. Anything that you could do in town, you could still go to town and do but the people in town could not do what we could do in the country. So I loved it! I also loved the idea of the ocean. When I had an opportunity to come to Hawaii, I could not pass it up. Who can live in Hawaii and not love nature and the outdoors?

I have a master's degree in Educational Technology and have a vast interest in it. Does that mean that family and friends are not important to me because I chose technology? Of course they are important but my children and grandchildren live on the mainland. Technology is what allows us to communicate and I try to play basketball with friends at least once a week.
