A little about me...
Active and energetic volunteer in areas of behavioral health, hunger, poverty, child abuse, developmental disabilities, HIV/AIDS, criminal justice, or homelessness.
Retired from a 40-year career starting and managing nonprofit behavioral health organizations addressing substance abuse, developmental disabilities, mental health, HIV/AIDS prevention, domestic violence, criminal justice, and homelessness.
But now back in the work work-part-time manager of a small clinic providing free primary health care to the medically indigent.
Although a Divinity School graduate, I was never ordained. Interested in interfaith dialogue and understanding.
Enjoy excellent health and have no aches or pains. Because I wish to eat healthy, I often cook for myself.
Politically liberal as I believe those of us with so much should share with those who have so little.
I laugh easily and have a very positive outlook on life likely caused by my life long faith journey.
Skilled and experienced in wilderness hiking, camping, and canoeing. Currently own a beat up kayak, a good pair of roller blades, and an old off-road bicycle.
Enjoy dancing. Been a while, but tennis is good.
Am very handy with home repair and maintenance.
About the one I'm looking for...
Interested in developing a relationship with a partner who has a positive and relaxed attitude and considerable humor and who also has the desire and ability to enjoy physical intimacy and passion. Romance and adventure would enhance the pleasures of being together.
Must be willing to share a life of some adventure, service, and compassion.
Thinking with one’s heart would be a real asset as I am often too much in my head.
I'd just like to add...
Recently I came out of retirement to become the part-time director of a free community health clinic. Nevertheless, because I have no debt and no lease, I am free to come and go as I please and to live anywhere in the world I choose.
I have three adult children and a daughter-in-law. They are all successful, and I hold them all dear, but they have no need for me to be underfoot. (Son in PA, daughter in Los Angeles, and married son in Raleigh.)
Because of my freedom and good health, I am committed to engaging in activities that thrust me into opportunities to expand my world, to grow spiritually, and to clarify my life's future purposes and direction.
