A little about me...
A little about me….
I'm an East Coast guy - born in the farm country of New York State, attended college in Massachusetts, spent the early career days in New England, was transferred to New York City, and spent the rest of my business career traveling internationally. Returned to retire in my haunts of yesteryear - northern NE. Became involved early on with the UNH Marine Docent Program and historic preservation groups. Currently, I'm "Dad" to four previously homeless cats and an active volunteer for the local feline rescue organization. Enjoy touring in my antique car, boating on the Piscataqua estuary, listening to music in the park, youth organ recitals, a cappella group performances - the list goes on. Always keen to pack up for the next road trip or await that "all aboard" call at the train depot. Curiosity drives me to find out what's over the next hill. I enjoy the adventure of dining at a new restaurant especially those that feature exotic menus. I find these activities more pleasant when in the company of a like-minded gal. I 'll engage in gentle teasing to bring forth a giggle or laugh to ease those awkward moments. Yes, I'm known to sport a lively wit..
About the one I'm looking for...
a lady reared with yankee values and a liking for many of the interests mentioned above. I certainly would be willing to accomodate her interests. She too should have a lively sense of humor . I'm not keen about spending time with young children. I believe that she and I should be the center of our world - at least during the time we've allotted for ourselves. We should both be proud to be seen together at any function - be it the Queen's Inaugural Ball or a dirt track stock car race. Such unabashed affection such as stealing a kiss under the streetlight, holding hands while walking down "Main Street" or on a trail in the park would be a part what I would view as an exciting, long lasting relationship.
I'd just like to add...
that I'm always keen on developing new skills and exploring new interests. For me, a great date would be a day-long drive on a perfect summer's day thru the byways of the countryside, stopping to browse at interesting shops, country auctions or flea markets, visiting a historic site and then enjoying a late meal at an out-of-the-way restaurant or pub (credit for this great idea belongs to "artichoke") . I actively support organizations here and abroad that are engaged in wild animal conservation programs.
