A little about me...
Active, love the outdoors. I'm an adventurer, love new things, but I've lived in Ashland 40 years, and the same house 25, so I also like roots. I garden most days and grow flowers and food. I love to dance - any couples dancing, and I'm an Ashland YMCA member - yoga, pilates, pickleball regularly, and I hike or x country ski once a week if possible. I volunteer here and there - I try to give back to groups that support me and support those in need. I'm mostly retired, so finding a new balance of fun and meaning in my life.
I want to travel - hike in England and Ireland, and visit my ancestral village in Nottinghamshire, and revel in the warm beauty of southern Florida, plus any natural wonder in the USA - camping, hiking, gawking . I've travelled a lot, visited 30 countries but I'm looking for a travel companion. My friends are either married, not fit enough, or not interested and I don't like to travel alone if possible.
About the one I'm looking for...
I;m looking for someone willing to enjoy life. Curious, adventurous, but also happy to sit and read a book in front of a roaring fire or climb a hill and enjoy the view.
I'd just like to add...
I was born in Australia, so I talk funny and I eat vegemite. (Ask and I'll tell you).
I have 2 beautiful son's, one in Portland and one currently travelling in Peru.
I have a wacky family spread over the world - sister and all 7 of her children in some of the nicest places in Australia, sister in Maui with kids in LA and San Fran, brother in Toronto. Thanks goodness for Skype.

My Top Interests:
Nature and Outdoors
I find peace in the outdoors - love to hike and cross country ski, I love the Soda Mountain Wilderness, and all the beautiful country within 2 hours drive of Ashland.
So much to choose from in our valley - theater, art galleries, movies, opera, symphony (I know that's music!) And when I travel I try to visit the great Art Galleries, see a show and walk through the Botanical Gardens. or Nature preserve
Family and Friends
I have 2 wonderful boys, and many friends I've collected in the 40 years I've lived in Ashland. Plus the really old friends from Sydney where I grew up, and England where I lived a while.
