A little about me...
Active, attractive and very affectionate – I see the glass as half full and avoid those who are full of negativity. Life is too short these days to get mired in the muck. I like to enjoy what life has to offer and learn new things; I have a curious mind. I love the Red Sox, Patriots, museums, music, movies and the arts…took glass blowing classes this fall at RISD and will again in the spring. In the meantime, I’ve been kayaking, tubing down rapids, hiking and enjoying what the seasons bring. I'm not fond of winter.
I still need my quiet moments, to read, to watch movies, to center myself and to reconnect to my soul. While not religious, I can find spirituality in the rising sun over the water, and in the quiet of the woods, listening to birdsongs.
When I retired, I started a volunteer job advocating for elders' rights in nursing homes; this has morphed into a paying position, so I am back to work 4 days/week. I like being busy but still keep some balance in that regard. My two daughters live in other states with their families; I travel to see them as often as possible.
About the one I'm looking for...
I am looking for a best friend, a partner in life, a companion. I need openness and honesty. Someone who likes to smile, has a twinkle in his eye, who likes pets and isn’t allergic to cats. An educated man who is emotionally and financially stable (I didn’t say rich). We will start off as friends, and if the connection is there, we will know it.
I'd just like to add...
Please note: I don’t respond if you don’t have a picture with your completed profile. Fair is fair.
